Loredana tried to fling his arm away, but his hold on her was tight.

“No.” Loredana was quick to deny.
“Then why are you angry?”
“I’m not angry.”

Loredana looked at him, who was in a full black suit. His strong and straight silhouette could be seen clearly. At this moment, there was no hint of emotion on his face.

Loredana couldn’t put her head to this all of a sudden. After a few seconds, she managed to understand what he had just said. She nodded her head in agreement, “I thought so too.”
If not, Jeffery wouldn’t have changed his attitude so abruptly.
This was what Cormac had worried about, and it had now happened.
He needed to know what Jeffery knew.
He put the car keys into Loredana’ hand, “You go back first.”
“What about you?” She asked.

Loredana took the car keys, and walked towards the car. Cormac stood by the roadside and made a phone call to Boyce.
