“I know it’s sickening, but it’s good for your body, hang in there,” Maxina reminded as she put the soup on the table.
“Okay,” Loredana nodded.
“Do you still feel pain?” Maxina asked.
Loredana nodded. Her breasts were full but she couldn’t breastfeed the baby since he was in the NICU.
“Pump it out if it hurts too much…”
“No,” Loredana said. The doctor advised her not to breastfeed due to her weak body condition as well as medication injected into her body during the surgery made her breast milk not suitable for the baby. She could only endure the pain until her breasts stopped producing milk naturally.
Maxina sighed, “Get some rest, they will come back after seeing the baby.”
Loredana nodded while Maxina went out.
Cormac sat on the side of the bed holding the soup, “Drink it before it gets cold.”
The room was warm without air-cond, she would be all sweaty after drinking the soup.
Maxina forbade her from taking a shower these few days, she felt so uncomfortable, hence, was reluctant to drink the soup.
“Later.” Loredana didn’t move an inch.
“Feeling uncomfortable?” Cormac asked as he put the soup down.

“Hang in there,” Cormac tried comforting her, “I’ll get you some warm water to clean up your body and new sets of changing clothes after you drink the soup.”
Loredana was attracted, ‘It’s better than not cleaning the body at all.’ She sat up slowly.
Cormac wanted to feed her, “I’ll drink it myself.” She took the soup and finished it in one gulp.
The hot soup warmed her body instantly, and she began sweating. She passed the empty bowl to Cormac as she took a few tissues to wipe off the sweats.
Cormac put the bowl outside, came back to close the curtain then proceeded to the washroom to get her washing water. He put the water on the chair, soaked up a small towel, and said, “Remove your clothes.”0000
Loredana Flores said while unbuttoning her clothes, “Take my clothes over here.”
Cormac Mendelsohn looked up at her. She didn’t wear any clothes inside her hospital gown and a large part of her white skin was exposed after unbuttoning.
As she realized that he was looking at her, she covered her chest, “What are you looking at?”
He was very calm, “I’m looking at you.”
She lowered her eyes and whispered, “So annoying.” But he didn’t hear it clearly and asked, “What did you say?”
“I didn’t say anything.” She urged him, “Hurry up and get the clothes.”
He brought it over.
She asked him to put the clothes on the bed, “You go out, I’ll wipe it myself.”
He didn’t care about her, wrung the towel semi-dry and said, “If you don’t take them off, I’ll do it for you.”
