Ada was shocked and stunned, let alone Carter’s mother and Ada’s mother.

Carter’s mother spent some time before she understood what Niamh said.
“W-What did you say? You’re dating Carter and you have this kind of mindset? How dare you play with Carter’s feelings?”
Niamh smiled calmly. “I’ve never played with anyone’s feelings. I just want to say that no one knows what’s going to happen in the future.”

Carter’s mother did not have any comebacks for that.
“You’re clearly playing with Carter’s feelings. You’re so gutsy!” the middle-aged woman next to Ada said suddenly.
Even though this woman was stunning, her temperament could never compare to Carter’s mother.
Niamh could only see some similarities in Ada from her manner and behavior, and it was acrimony.
This woman walked to Niamh while she said that, an arrogant and imposing look on her face. “Do you know who Carter is? I’ve never seen such an unaware and shameless woman like you!”
“Shameless?” Niamh snorted and asked, “I think the behavior of barging here and calling oneself the matriarch of the family with thick skin even when one knows the man doesn’t like her is even more shameless, don’t you think?”

Ada’s stunning face was covered with dark clouds after she heard what Niamh said.
Of course, she knew Niamh was mocking her!
She immediately looked at her mother.
Ada’s mother understood quickly and retorted Niamh angrily, “You freak! You don’t even have the right to stand here and you have the audacity to talk big to me? Who are you? Do you know who we are?
“Hmph! How dare a disfigured woman like you be so delusional to think that you’ll have a chance to end up with Carter? You’re having such an unrealistic dream!’’
The woman rattled off, and everything she said lacked the most basic inner quality.
Niamh noticed Carter’s mother frowning. It was as if she also could not stand Ada’s mother acting like a shrew in front of her.
However, Niamh was calm the entire time. Then, she said confidently, “I don’t look normal, but even if I’m hideous, I will never be more hideous than someone’s heart.”
“…” Ada’s face fell even more after she heard this.
Niamh could see that Ada was pissed, but it seemed that in order to preserve her image in front of Carter’s mother, she could only get angry and did not dare to fight back.

She said and walked to Carter’s mother to egg her on. “Camille, you can’t let a woman like her get into the Louis family. Carter’s mother furrowed her eyebrows and requested Niamh coldly, “Remove your mask. Let me see how you look.”
After she said that, Niamh saw Ada and her mother smirking sinisterly. It was as if they were waiting to see Niamh make a fool of herself.
Niamh noticed that Ada had some delicate makeup on, and perhaps she did that for this moment so that she could defeat Niamh.
Niamh just had her gel treatment not long ago. As such, she looked good even if she was barefaced. However, she did not want to waste any time on this and did not want to expose what she looked like now.
She declined slowly. “I think we should just let this matter go. Miss Ada should have told you what I look like before this. I think I should keep my mask on so that I won’t scare you.”
“Camille asked you to remove your mask, so you should remove your mask. Who do you think you are? What right do you have to talk terms and decline?” Ada’s mother urged and berated.
Niamh lifted her eyes that were glinting a silver light and looked into Ada’s mother’s eyes.
“I have the right to decide for myself. It doesn’t matter who I am. I want to ask you now, who are you to criticize me here?”
“…” Ada’s mother did not expect that Niamh was not a softie. She almost could not take this now that they were fighting head-on.
“Eveline, how dare to talk to my mother like this?” Ada finally could not take this anymore. “Do you think you can do anything now that Carty has your back? Let me tell you, Carty is a filial person. Don’t you even think about entering the Louis family or even this door if you go against Aunty Cammy!”
Ada warned angrily. However, less than two seconds after she said that, Carter’s cold voice sounded from the door.
“If Eveline doesn’t have the right to step foot through this door, then you don’t even have the right to get close to the front gates of the manor.”
Ada and the other two turned their heads in shock after they heard that.
Carter walked over from the door lazily. He was wearing a black suit and looked as if he was just back from finishing his business.
When he walked next to Camille Abbot, he stopped walking. There was finally a grin on his emotionless face.
Camille looked like she was satisfied when she saw her son. “Carter.”
She called out to Carter and spread her arms to hug him for a while. They even placed their faces close to each other intimately.
Their style of greeting was pretty European.
After Carter let go, he said warmly, “Why didn’t you tell me before you came over?”
Camille looked at Niamh. “Why? Are you worried that I’ll scare your girlfriend by coming here unannounced?”
Carter looked at Niamh after he heard that. The smile on his face grew wider. “Eveline is tough, so she won’t get shocked by just this.”
“Oh? Really? You know your girlfriend pretty well, then,” Camille said profoundly. Then, her gaze landed on Niamh again.
Niamh was still wearing her mask, but her beautiful and lively eyes were clear as day.
However, her beautiful eyes could not prove anything. Camille had seen a lot of people with one good- looking feature but the rest of their features did not live up to the standard.
Even so, she did hear the servants in the manor saying that Niamh became disfigured from an accident.
Even though she was pitiful because of her disfigurement, to be frank, a disfigured woman would never be able to enter their family.
Ada looked at her mother, and immediately, they put on a fake, hypocritical mask.
“Carter, you’re back. Long time no see. Let me take a good look at you.” Ada’s mother walked over to him to try to worm her way into a relationship with him.
Ada walked over too. There was a sweet smile on her delicate face.
“Carty.” She purposely made her voice sound nasal so that she would seem sweeter and her voice wound sound more pleasant.
However, it was as if Carter did not hear their passionate greetings. On the contrary, he walked straight to Niamh and started introducing her gently.
“Eveline, this is my mother.”
“I know. I met her just now.”
“Really?” Carter grinned. “Since you know each other now, you should sit down and talk. Eveline, my mother is pretty easy-going, so you don’t have to be too reserved.”
Niamh smiled and nodded lightly.
Easy-going?
To be honest, aside from the servants, Niamh did not think anyone else in the manor was easy- going.
After they sat down, the servant delivered some beverages and snacks according to Carter’s wishes.
Ada picked up her cup pretentiously to take a sip. When she saw Niamh sitting quietly next to Carter, she lifted her eyes to give her mother a look.
Ada’s mother immediately understood what her daughter meant. Since Carter was here, she changed her imposing manner and pretended to say peacefully, “Miss Montgomery, the tea and snacks are made from the top dessert master. Don’t you want to taste them?”
“You’re too courteous. You can go ahead, I’m not hungry at all.” Niamh smiled and rejected. Of course, she knew this woman only wanted her to remove her mask, but she would not expose her appearance like this.
If Carter saw her, he would know that she had been lying to him.
He would notice that she looked the same as the woman next to Kendrick right now.
When that happened, he would know she was the real Eveline Montgomery.
Camille knew what this woman was trying to do because she was siding with Ada and her mother. “Carter, since you’re dating Miss Montgomery, then shouldn’t you let me see what she looks like? She’s a little disrespectful for having the mask on this whole time, don’t you think?”
Carter looked at Niamh after he heard that. Suddenly, he reached out his hand to grab Niamh’s hand.
Niamh could not escape from him, and her hand was hurting from his grip.
“Eveline hurt her face in an accident and hasn’t recovered yet. I hope you can understand, Mom.”
“She hasn’t recovered yet? How long has it been? Will she never recover?” Camille asked continuously, and her expression suddenly looked very solemn. “Carter, you should know the first rule for every daughter-in-law of the Louis family is that they have to have a dignified and fitting appearance.”
