Carter looked at Fabian suspiciously and then at Evan. “I want an answer from you.”
“My answer is Evan’s answer.” Fabian looked at Evan anxiously.
Evan, sensing sense Fabian’s urgency and concern, agreed. “Carter, I’ll go back to discuss this with my father. But this is predicated upon your guarantee that we can see Lillian immediately.”
When Evan agreed, a happy and contented smile appeared slowly on Carter’s lips.
This was an unexpected gain.
He wanted to use Lillian to seek revenge on Kendrick, but now, Lillian became his most effective chess piece.
“Before your father agrees to see me, don’t even think about seeing Lillian.”
“Carter! ” Fabian was a little mad.
When Carter saw Fabian getting mad, the smile on his face widened.
“What’s wrong? Are you angry? Be angry all you want, but this is something that you can’t change. ”
After Carter finished saying that with a smirk, he parted his legs to go downstairs.
After taking two steps, he turned back to look at Evan.

When Niamh said this, Fabian slowly understood why Niamh wanted to apologize. “ I’m sorry. I only thought about my family and my feelings this whole time, but I didn’t think about your feelings. ”
Upon hearing this, Fabian frowned. It seemed that moisture appeared in his eyes without his realization.
“ I kept saying that I’m your best friend, but I am not qualified at all. As a friend, I should’ve been more like Evan. I should’ve stood in your shoes and considered your feelings.
“I suddenly realize why you feel so much hatred for me and Kendrick. We don’t deserve a friend like you at all.”
Niamh smiled as she blamed herself.
“When Lana was killed by Ryan and Kendrick was being framed, you believed Kendrick unconditionally, and you even helped me find out who the real killer was. But I forgot to comfort you. At the end of the day, she’s your biological sister after all.”
When Niamh said this, she started feeling heavy. “Fabian, I’m sorry, I…”
“Enough.”
Fabian interrupted her. His eyes were already red. “Stop talking.”
He stopped Niamh from continuing, and his tears nearly escaped his eyes.
Niamh got up and handed him a piece of tissue.

“Hmm?” Niamh looked at Fabian in confusion. “ What is it?”
“I respect you not because you’re older than me. Instead, it’s just how I show my affection.”
Fabian paused and finally gave her such an explanation.
‘This is just how he shows his affection?’
Niamh was surprised, but she felt that this was understandable.
However, this whole time, she had thought that Fabian saw her as his older sister, the kind between siblings.
When he saw Niamh looking as if she had a flash of understanding and her surprised expression, Fabian continued explaining.
