Chapter 952 – Until You Say Sorry Novel

“Did you come to F Country to negotiate with me about bringing Lily home?” Fabian asked as he looked at Niamh who had a cold expression on her face.

Niamh curled her lips. “How would a child’s parents not worry about and miss their child? But now I realized that Lily has gotten better care while she’s with you.”

“If you really think that way, then I insist on keeping Lily with me so that I can care for her, Eveline.”

Fabian’s words stunned and surprised Niamh.

She lifted her eyes and looked at Fabian who had a serious expression with a look of disbelief.

“What do you mean by that?”

Fabian met Niamh’s inquisitive eyes. “Eveline, do you still trust me?”

Niamh paused after hearing the words. “Are you saying you don’t want me to take Lily away from here?”

Fabian did not nod, but that was what he meant.

“Eveline, to tell you the truth, I’m reluctant to let Lily go back with you.”

Upon hearing this, Niamh could not help but keep quiet.

For a while, she did not even know how to refute it. However, that was her daughter.

“ I know that you, Kendrick, and your family are all concerned and worried about Lily, but if Lily goes back with you, I think I’ll never have the chance to see her again.”

“What do you mean you’ll never see her again? As long as you want to see her, you can come to see her freely. Do you think Kendrick and I will stop you?” Niamh felt this strange.

“No, I won’t go back to Glendale anymore,” Fabian said with a soft sigh before looking out the car window. “I’ll never go to the city where I lost two of my dearest family members again.”

Niamh’s heart trembled when she heard this. She figured she truly could not empathize.

In this world, true empathy did not exist.

She would never understand the pain in Fabian’s heart, but she could feel the pain of losing a loved one.

She knew that it would be useless to comfort him, so she said nothing.

Once she was back, Niamh waited for Evan’s call. Based on the current situation, Carter would never release Lily without getting a satisfactory answer from Evan’s father.

The next day, when Niamh got up, she heard conversational voices outside the room.

She hastily cleaned up and saw Fabian and Evan talking in the living room on the second floor of the villa.

She walked in and heard Evan’s voice. “My father really can’t spare the time to treat Carter’s friends

Every patient who is about to receive my father’s treatment had registered a long time ago. They can’t delay any further.”

Evan’s words revealed a sense of helplessness.

Niamh knew this, and she also understood that no one could jump the queue in this kind of thing no matter what.

In addition to wanting to rescue Lily as soon as possible, she actually hoped that Shirley would get the treatment too, but this matter was based on first

-come, first-served basis, and everyone only had one life.

Upon hearing Evan’s words, Fabian tried to ask Evan to ask his father again when he caught a glimpse of Niamh standing not far away from the corner of his eye.

“You’re up,” Fabian said in a friendly tone.

Evan heard that and noticed that Niamh was standing at one side. Niamh also came back to her senses then.

“Yeah, I just got up.” She smiled and walked slowly to them. “Evan, thank your father for his help. If he really can’t make time, we shouldn’t put him in a difficult position.”

“It’s not that. My father does have too many patients who need his help,” Evan explained.

“I can understand that.” Niamh looked at Fabian. “Don’t worry, Lily will be safe for now.”

“For now?” Fabian was still worried. “I wonder what insane things Carter will do if he knows his female friend won’t get treatment.”

There was a long silence as Fabian’s voice fell away.

Niamh then went to buy a new phone. She tried contacting Shirley, but after she sent the message, she did not get a reply.

Niamh figured that Shirley might not be able to reply to the message now, so she could only wait patiently.

About noon, Niamh finally received a message from Shirley.

Shirley told her that Carter was out to buy lunch at this time, so that was why Shirley had a chance to reply to the message.

Additionally, Shirley told Carter that she did not feel too well, and she deliberately asked Carter to go to the pharmacy to buy a medicine that did not exist at all.

After learning about this situation, Niamh rushed to the hotel immediately.

Niamh remembered the room number very well. When she arrived, she rang the doorbell. Shirley immediately opened the door after hearing Niamh’s voice, but she found that the door could not be opened at all.

“Carter must have done something from the outside. Eveline, can you see if something is stuck outside the door?”

After hearing that, Niamh immediately looked around the door and found that something was indeed stuck on the handle of the door.

It seemed that Carter had spent so much effort to prevent Shirley from sneaking Lillian away.

Niamh quickly untied the rope tied to the doorknob and Shirley quickly opened the door smoothly.

As soon as the door opened, Niamh saw Lillian’s cute and ignorant little face.

“Mommy.”

When Lillian saw Niamh, she immediately shrieked happily.

“Lily.” Niamh reached out and touched her little cheek.

“Eveline, hurry and take your daughter away. Carter will find out that I lied to him if you delayed. He might be back soon.”

Niamh took Lillian’s hand and pulled her to her side. “Aren’t you coming with me?”

Shirley paused slightly and then laughed bitterly. “At first, I wanted to leave him and no longer have anything to do with him, but if the main reason he brought me to F Country is to help me seek treatment, then I’ll dismiss this idea.”

Niamh could understand what Shirley meant by saying this. Carter was affectionate to her, and she had always loved Carter, so it was hard for her to give him up.

“Eveline, hurry up and leave. You don’t have to worry about me. I think Carter will take good care of me, ” Shirley said as she turned the direction of the wheelchair and her back to Niamh.

“Shirley, thank you, ” Niamh thanked her.

Shirley glanced at her. “No need to thank me, this is what I should be doing. I’m just doing this now to help Carter act in the nick of time.”

Niamh could see that Shirley was determined, so she stopped persuading her. However, when she wanted to pull Lillian’s hand, Lillian suddenly walked up to Shirley.

Shirley was taken aback for a moment, wondering what Lillian was going to do.

“Lily, what’s wrong? Go with Mommy.”

Lillian nodded and suddenly reached out her little hand to hold Shirley’s hand, handing handed a paper lucky star she folded into Shirley’s palm.

Shirley immediately understood what Lillian was trying to say. She smiled amicably. “Thank you, Lily. I hope I can go forward in my life with good luck as you wish.”

Lillian smiled and turned to go back to Niamh.

Niamh bent down and picked Lillian up. She ran to the elevator without missing a beat.

“Mommy, ” Lillian called out to Niamh childishly. Her two adorable hands held Niamh’s neck tightly as she nestled into Niamh’s arms like she was simpering.

Niamh held the little girl in distress. “Good girl, Lily. I’ll take you home now.”

Niamh comforted her. However, when she was about to reach the elevator, the elevator door opened, and she saw Carter.

Niamh’s heart pounded. If Carter saw her, she and Lillian would not only be unable to leave but also face even more difficult troubles.

She raised her hand to cover Lillian’s little head. “ Lily, get closer to me and don’t look up. Be a good girl.”

She whispered and immediately turned around while holding Lillian.

Niamh heard the elevator doors opening completely, and Carter’s footsteps came not far behind her.

Worried that Carter would recognize her back, Niamh did not dare to walk too fast. She was afraid that this would attract Carter’s attention, so she had to keep walking at a normal speed.

Lillian very obediently buried her little head between Niamh’s neck and remained motionless the whole time.

Although she was still young, she seemed to feel that her mother was worried about something, so she hugged Niamh even harder.

Niamh, who also felt Lillian’s movements, bowed her head and softly comforted the cute little girl. “Don’t be afraid of Lily, I’m here.”
