People were walking back and forth along the road, but Ava felt a little awkward for some reason.

The man seemed to pause for a second, then nodded. “Your mother and I used to be classmates.”
“Classmates?” Ava was surprised again.
The man nodded, his gentle eyes never once moving away from Ava’s face. However, his expression started to look a little serious.
“Your mother and I knew each other many years ago, but I left Glendale to study medicine. It’s been more than ten years since I left.
