Chapter 5 – Taming My Bullies (Emma & Rowan) Novel Free Online

However, one look at Emma and my dick went hard as steel. Sam’s whiny ass voice incessantly droning on about the new girl being disrespectful is doing a great job of killing it though.

One look into those haunted fire-filled gray eyes and I knew I was fucked. No one talks back to me, but the hellion in black leggings sassed back like she couldn’t give two fucks on a good day. I didn’t know if her fight excited me or pissed me the fuck off, or maybe both. I had to grab Sam and turn away before Emma could see what she was doing to me.

Emma’s going to be a serious problem. One we don’t need or have time for. I saw the guys at the edge of the crowd. All showing varying levels of interest, especially Wy. If he fixates, that will be a problem in and of itself.

We have too much shit going on this year with the Fraternitatem. We need to keep our heads focused on what is expected of all of us. With the selection coming up and keeping an eye on the Senator, we can’t get sidetracked, and definitely not by some bottom feeder.

I’ll handle the guys, but if Emma knows what’s good for her, she’ll fall in line like the rest of the sheep, and stay the hell out of our way. Too bad I can tell already that won’t be the case, especially with the way she stood up to Sam and me.

Which only makes me question, why the fuck is she in our town? Calloway is a members-only town. No outsiders are allowed to live here. They can visit all they want, but they aren’t allowed to live here without the council’s approval. So, how the hell did this nobody family not only get the green light to move here but also get to buy the old Calloway property?

Before I can finish working through possible reasons, Sam’s screeching voice breaks my focus.

“Rowan, are you even listening to me right now?” Sam says, pressing her pink-coated collagen-filled lips into a pout. It comes out looking more like a sneer, which is far more on par with her personality. Innocent this one is not.

“Um, what did you say? I was thinking about football practice later.”

Her demeanor instantly shifts, letting out her true toxic personality. Her lips tip up toward her Grecian nose and the bleached whiteness of her teeth makes her appear feral. If there’s anything Sam can’t stand, it’s not being the center of attention.

Fucking narcissistic bitch.

I don’t know why I put myself in these fucking situations with her. Oh, that’s right, I was ordered to by

The Council, and no one tells them no. Not if they want to make it through the ritual like all the heirs have to once we turn eighteen. And I will complete the initiation, which means doing exactly what they tell me to do. Even if my dad is the Supreme Grandmaster- more so because he is.

Simply put, I have to put up with Sam for now. At least she can suck the soul out of my dick and lets me do whatever the fuck I want in bed. I try to pretend that I care about what she has to say.

“I’ve been planning where you can take me for our next date and you’re thinking about football?” Her voice raises far above the appropriate decibel levels anyone is allowed to speak to me. She knows better than to raise her voice when speaking to me.

The muscles in my jaw twitch, and my nostrils flare as I try to reign in my temper before responding.

“Date? What the fuck are you talking about Sam? You know I don’t date! Fuck, absolutely, but date? Never!” Just thinking about having to date anyone, much less her, makes me want to break out in hives. I’m literally allergic to the idea of it. Not to mention the heirs don’t date. We are only allowed to be serious with our wife, once we find her.

The idea of a wife makes me want to vomit. Stupid town and its archaic traditions. It doesn’t even make sense. Why did the council members get to marry whoever they wanted but we’re all forced to marry the same girl? What senior in high school wants to think about having a ball and chain? The Fraternitas is very specific about the requirements of the heirs born every five generations if we want our bloodline to remain in power. That means it’s our turn to pick, even if the idea is repulsive to me.

Which is another reason my ire is fixed on Sam. She knows better than to try and stake some dumb claim on me. Her family isn’t a top member, but like everyone else living in this town, they follow the Leges Conditae, the founding laws that dictate the lives of all of Calloway’s inhabitants.

The shades of red Sam is turning are comical, but before she can scream her outrage, the new girl walks in the door.

Emma looks like a snack, one I want to gorge myself on. Licking my lips, I take in the full magnitude of her beauty. I don’t know who invented leggings but I am thanking them right now because the peach sitting on her back is biteable. I can almost imagine what my handprints would look like on them as I squeeze both cheeks.

I shake my head to clear my thoughts. My brows knit together, this has to be some kind of test. There’s no way the council would just let some random family move into town during a selection year, and into one of our family homes, no less, if they didn’t have plans.

These are plans the guys and I need to figure out before we’re forced to marry some money-hungry leech. If Emma is that leech then she needs to be forced to leave. I don’t care how delectable she looks, with her plump, pouty, blush-stained lips and skin that looks so damn soft-.

“Rowan!” Sam screeches and again interrupts my train of thought. She’s about to go on a tirade that’ll no doubt end with her embarrassed, but I let her hang herself.

“What the fuck do you mean we’re not dating?” she asks like she’s stupid.

I swear there aren’t enough blowjobs in this world worth the amount of stress that comes with this chick.

I’m about to turn my back on her because her attempts to claim me are getting old, but then her level of stupid ratchets up and she grabs my arm in order to keep my attention.

So, now I’m going to give her the attention she so desperately is seeking. I’m just not sure it’s the type of attention she’ll want when I’m done with her.

My once aloof mood morphs instantly. I can almost feel the bones in my face as they shift into a scowl and the irises of my eyes dilate when my glacial gaze bores down to where she has placed the offensive limb. She removes her hand immediately.

She’s not a complete idiot. I’ll give her that. It’s too bad she doesn’t know when to shut her mouth because she’s about to land herself in the middle of an unmarked minefield.

“Don’t you ever fucking turn your back on me? We

ARE,” she emphasizes are in a way that has the entire room paying fucking attention, “a couple and if you think you are going to try and say otherwise, I’ll just let your dad know about your little mishap over the summer.” She all but screeches, her hands now on her slender hips and blue-eyed daggers attempting to flay me where I sit.

All thoughts of the new girl and what her presence in this town could mean are forgotten in the heat of the moment. The control on my anger is completely shattered. I look over to Liam, so I don’t completely black out on this girl.

I know she’s into this shit, but this is too far for even her. My arm shoots up, catching her off guard, and before she can flinch in response I grab her cheeks, squeezing until the veins pop in my forearms. I’m relishing in knowing there will be bruises. I don’t get off on pain, but Sam’s pain is the exception.

The traitorous skank.

She obviously needs a fucking reminder of who and what the fuck I am.

A rumble builds in my chest coming out in a growl, “I. Don’t. Date.” The bass in my voice should bring home my next point, but just in case I squeeze her face even harder, taking in the flood of blood rushing, under her skin, to where my calloused fingers are digging in. Lowering my head, I bring my mouth close to her, sticking out my tongue and gliding it along the shell of her ear.

The shivers that begin to rack her body as she trembles in my hold call to the monster below the surface that is threatening to come out and unleash its fury. It’s been too long since it’s been fed and who better to feed it than the she-bitch herself.

“And I certainly don’t care what you tell my father.” I whisper the next part so only she can hear, “You, however, should think very carefully before you threaten me. We both know it didn’t go so well for the last person who did.” I release her and she crumbles to the floor with a smack.

She looks up from the ground, malice evident in her cold glare. No hurt- just anger.

My lips curl in scornful amusement. “Now, you’re where you’ve always belonged.”

I turn my back on her pathetic attempt to try and bring me to heel. I knew it was a mistake to stick my dick in this bitch but I needed information, so stick my dick in her I did.

She’s lucky she was a good lay and could swallow my cock like it was an Olympic sport and she was vying for gold.

We’re the heirs of the Fraternitas. We run this town and one day we will run this world. I try to rein in my anger as I walk over to my seat. Liam, August, and Karl are all in the back of the class cackling and I give them the finger.
