“I’m Johnnie, it’s nice to officially meet you.” I said before sliding my hand around Caspian’s waist and smiling.
I felt like I could pass out by how intimidating this was.
“I’m Brett..and you can blame this guy for not introducing us earlier..I guess now we know why.” He smirked before glancing at Caspian.
“What do you mean?” I laughed awkwardly, making Brett look between the other guys.
“Brett.” Caspian gritted through his teeth, causing my brow furrow before looking up at my husband.
Why was he acting so weird?
“Nothing, come and Ava, let’s go get a drink.” He stated, but not before looking at me once more as I felt like that was definitely something.
“Hey, maybe we should just go. We can grab something to eat..” Caspian whispered as I looked up at him curiously.
“What’s wrong? Is there something I should know Caspian?” I asked, making his eyes dart to Brett who was still staring at us.
“No, it’s nothing, sorry..I just didn’t expect all these people..I feel like a dick..” He admitted, making me realize he was talking about Ava..was that why he was acting weird?
“Caspian, just relax..these are your friends and the ones that aren’t..well..we can just ignore them, right?” I said softly as Caspian let out a shuddering breath before crashing his lips to mine.
“I love you..so much.” He grumbled against my lips.
“I love you too.” I breathed, making Caspian deepen the kiss when Moose suddenly interrupted us.
“Hey, stop hogging her all to yourself..here, I got you a drink.” Moose smiled brightly before handing me a cup with some questionable contents inside.
“It’s the Moose special.” He winked and before I could even try it, Caspian snatched it out of my hand.
“No, she isn’t drinking.” He stated firmly, making me frown.
“Why not?” I asked, making Caspian glance towards me.
“Because..I know how you get.” He stated, humor filling his eyes as flashbacks of me throwing up filled my head.
“Just one?” I pouted, giving him my puppy eyes as Moose soon joined in.
“Yeah, just one..” Moose pleaded, making Caspian roll his eyes before sighing.
“Fine..just one.”
I couldn’t hide my excitement as Moose high-fived me and yanked the cup from Caspian’s hands and placing it back in mine.
“Go on, tell me what you think.” Moose said excitedly as I put the drink to my lips and took a little sip.
I swear I almost choked..what the hell is this stuff?
“It’s..strong.” I said, trying not to cough.
“That’s because it’s like five hard liquors mixed together with a splash of rootbeer.” Caspian grumbled as Moose smiled widely before tilting his own glass back and drinking.
“Gets the job done.” He winked, making me laugh as I could see Caspian visibly relax.
“Take it slow baby…I’m serious, that stuff will knock you on your ass.” Caspian whispered, his hand sliding down to my butt as he rubbed it while saying “ass”.
Well..he was right.
Not even an hour later I leaned back against Caspian’s chest, his arms wrapped around me tight as we talked with a couple of his team mates named Dale, Josh, and Kai.
“Fuck, I can’t believe you really got married.” Kai slurred, obviously feeling the effects of Mooses drink just like me.
“Look, we got this done the same day.” Caspian bragged before lifting our hands and showing off our tattoo rings.
Suddenly my eyes darted toward the kitchen, seeing Brett was staring straight at me as a small smile pulled at his lips.
He had Ava on the island in front of him, his mouth kissing her neck..I felt myself frowning, I swear he has been watching me all night.
And Ava..oh god..she was really trying hard to get Caspian’s attention but it wasn’t working. She would laugh really loud and even at one point she started making out with some other girl right next to us..it was awkward and almost amusing to say the least.
Caspian just looked at me, his eyes and hands not leaving me once…even I was surprised because I couldn’t look away, it was like a car crash happening right in front of me.
I give her an A for effort though..she tried it all.
“Fuck, you look so sexy right now Mrs. King.” Caspian mumbled against my my throat, making me turn my head to look at him as he placed a sweet kiss agaisnt my lips. My body shivered from his touch, the look in his eyes one that I knew well.
“I’m ready to go to our room..” He stated, and that’s when a loud commotion suddenly started, making Caspian’s eyes shoot up.
Two guys started fighting in the kitchen as Caspian ran over to stop it.
“Hey! Knock it the fuck off!” He yelled, pulling the guys apart with Mooses help.
Then I felt someone by my side, making me jump.
“You know, I wasn’t surprised when he told us about you two getting together.” A deep voice rumbled beside me, making me glance over and see it was Brett. Wasn’t he just in the kitchen?
“You weren’t?” I slurred, watching as Caspian poked some guy in the chest before making him back up a little.
“No, even though he treated you like an asshole, I knew the truth..you know how?” He asked a little more closer, the alcohol on his breath making me flinch back. Did my breath smell like that? Jeez.
“Because I wanted to ask you out..I told him I was thinking of making a move on you..and he flipped the fuck out. He said you were a slut and I would probably get something from you..but I didn’t think that was the case, I could see you weren’t that type of girl..probably a virgin too with how much of a cock block Cas was..not anymore though huh?” Brett said, making my brow furrow as the things he said began to make me feel uncomfortable.
Did Caspian seriously tell people I was a slut and would give them an std?! What the hell..that asshole! I didn’t know he went that far..surprisingly I was more stunned than mad.
