Chapter 61 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

“We don’t know,” Benedict answered.

Magnus doubted that Venus wasn’t turned into a werewolf. Eugene might have hidden it from his family. That was why he never liked the werewolves. They were just some dominant creatures because of their strange attributes toward their mates.

He sensed Alora’s worries and assured her Venus would be found soon.

“Why did you all hide the facts about your real identities?” Alora asked them. “My sister wasn’t supposed to marry a werewolf,” she muttered.

“We live as humans, Princess Alora,” Eloise stated.

“Venus is my mate. That’s why I sent a proposal for her,” Eugene’s voice reverberated in their ears. “I have brought her home. She didn’t run away, Mother,” he informed them and turned to look at Venus, who entered the living room.

Magnus glanced at her and found even Venus’s mind was unreadable to him. He spotted a pendant on her neck and realized that it had some spell on it, which prevented him from reading their thoughts.

“Alora, Prince Magnus, what are you doing here?” Venus inquired.

“The news of your disappearance reached home,” Alora stated and she rose to her feet. Keeping her eyes low, she approached Venus and finally hugged her sister.

“Are you well? Mother and Grandma were worried for you,” Alora said as she caressed her back. Magnus noticed how Venus looked low in spirit. She even reciprocated Alora’s hug, which definitely was not an act.

“Why didn’t you bite her till now?” Magnus questioned Eugene. “You claim her as your mate, but you didn’t tell this to the Wilson Family before the marriage. Why?” He squinted his eyes in suspicion.

“That’s my personal matter with Venus, Your Highness,” Eugene replied. “I hope the Prince will understand,” he stated.

Alora withdrew from the hug with Venus and told Eugene that he should not have lied to her family when asked for Venus’s hand. “Where did you go Venus in the early morning?” she asked, placing her hands on her arms.

“She and I had an argument. In anger, she left. Because it is a couple’s matter, Princess Alora should stay out of this,” Eugene affirmed.

Magnus finally rose to his feet. “Well, Eugene, it is no longer personal,” he pronounced. “You should not have let the matter out. Remove the locket from Venus’s neck. I wish to read her mind,” he pronounced, “or remove the spell you all have put on yourselves with the help of a witch.” His command was clear.

“Prince Magnus, it is my matter with Venus. She is my wife, so I cannot allow you to read her mind. That will be a breach of privacy,” Eugene humbly refused to do so.

“Venus, why don’t you remove it, then?” Magnus gazed at him.

“Venus, do it. You don’t have to hide anything from us,” Alora asserted.

“I don’t wish to,” Venus replied.

“We won’t come to save you if anything happens,” Magnus cleared to her.

“I am not in any kind of danger,” Venus stated with a smile.

Alora held her hands when Venus pushed her away. “Stop showing your concern for me,” she shouted at Alora.

Magnus stepped up when Alora blocked his way. “Let’s leave,” she urged, not wanting a fight to break because of her.

Magnus looked at all of them for the last time and left with Alora.

Magnus pressed his finger against Alora’s lips and asked her to not speak about Venus anymore. “We don’t have to do anything with those wolves,” he stated with annoyance.

As he withdrew his finger, Alora asked him how would they tell them about Venus’s family truth to their parents.

“Did you not hear Eugene? He said it was their personal matter. So, I will tell your grandmother and mother to talk to Venus by themselves. We aren’t going to meddle in their family. And you have to listen to me. Don’t make me compel you to follow my order,” Magnus affirmed and went ahead of her.

Alora sighed and followed him inside. To her surprise, her father and brother had returned from work after hearing about Venus’s disappearance. But soon, she learned that they had returned from Venus’s in-laws home.

“Your Highness, you and Alora returned late,” said Madam Aubrey as they all left their seats. Norman and Elliot greeted them with a respectful gesture.

Rhea came to Alora and asked her how Venus looked.

“Did Norman not tell you?” Magnus questioned and glanced at him. “Why don’t you tell your wife and mother that your daughter is no longer sane enough? All she does is an insult. I feel like hanging her to death every time she disrespects Alora,” he blurted out and took away Alora from there.

Rhea was shocked to see the angry Magnus and gazed at her husband.

“To us, she looked normal. I think Venus didn’t like Alora’s involvement in her family matter. Also, Venus hadn’t run away from the house. She wanted to be alone after she had an argument with Eugene,” Norman stated.

“But the news has spread in the entire city. How are we supposed to answer the people? Can Venus not handle her household?” Madam Aubrey showed concern and told Norman to bring Venus home tomorrow.

“Mother, that is not a good idea. People will talk more about us,” Norman asserted.

“Isn’t it a big matter that Venus left the home early in the morning because of an argument? Are they treating her well? My Lord, do you think we should neglect it?” Rhea questioned her husband.

“Father and I made sure that Eugene would not upset Venus anymore. Also, Venus asked us not to send Alora there with Prince Magnus. Sister Alora did something there, which had angered her,” Elliot informed them after assuring his mother that Venus was doing well.

Norman sat down on the couch. “Venus didn’t like Alora’s involvement in her family matter. Rhea, you need to make sure Alora stays away from Venus. She has her own family, where she should focus more,” he opined.

“Alora must be concerned for Venus as her elder sister,” Rhea stated.

“Her concern doesn’t matter to Venus,” Norman replied. “If you had sent away Alora far from here at a young age, our other two kids’ lives would have been much better,” he remarked.

“My Lord, Venus’s and Elliot’s lives were never affected by Alora. They both started hating her because you and Mother always created that environment. We all did so much wrong to her, yet she never used her eyes powers on us,” Rhea stated and urged her husband not to speak ill of Alora anymore. “She has come here and it will upset her that her father still despises her,” Rhea muttered.

Madam Aubrey told her son not to take anger on Alora since Magnus was also present in the house.

Magnus, who had come out to ask Rhea to send meals for Alora heard their entire conversation. He decided not to keep Alora here since they all were her enemies, except for Rhea.
