Chapter 62 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

He had held himself together because of Alora. “Norman, I told you to treat my wife well. But you always forgot that. I now realize why Venus spews poison whenever she speaks with Alora because her father taught her all that.” He entered the living room, grabbing everyone’s attention to him.

“You are lucky that I cannot kill you all. Except for my mother-in-law, no one cares for my wife. Alora is a nice child and a sister, who takes every humiliation without doing anything. However, I am much worse than you all think.” Magnus’s words were intimidating as they left a wave of fear in all of them.

“Your Highness, I didn’t mean to-“

Magnus didn’t let him finish his words. “Just shut your mouth, Norman.” He then looked at Rhea and said, “I’m taking Alora back to our residence. If she stays here, Norman might kill her.” With that, he left for the room.

Norman told Rhea he would apologize to the Vampire Prince.

“That will only escalate his anger,” Rhea said with a disappointed gaze at her husband.

On the other side, in Alora’s room, Magnus asked her to come with him.

“Huh? Where?” Alora put her feet down on the floor.

“To the residence. I think we should stay around each other,” Magnus replied.

“Really?” Alora was happy that Magnus wanted to let her stay around him and she rose to her feet. “Will His Highness not lose his senses?” she asked in a teasing tone.

“Even if I will, I don’t think I will harm you. After all, you can tame me with your eyes,” Magnus stated.

Alora smiled and ran to him. She wrapped her arms around him. “Of course! My eyes are magical for you,” she stated and lifted her head to look at him.

“Yes, they are! Alora, I want to do many things for you,” Magnus said while running his thumbs on her cheeks.

“Mmm… You have already done a lot for me,” Alora replied as she slowly dropped her hands down.

“No. I have not. Let’s go back before the evening falls,” Magnus opined.

“Sure.”

They held each other’s hands and went out of the room, where Rhea encountered them.

“Mother, we should return,” Alora murmured, avoiding eye contact with Rhea.

“It’s for the best,” Rhea replied gently, placing her hand on Alora’s head and offering her blessing. “Remember, you can always call on me whenever you need me.”

With a brief glance at Magnus, Rhea excused herself. “I’ve prepared some sweets for Alora. I’ll fetch them from the kitchen and bring them to the carriage,” she informed before making her way to the kitchen.

As they finally settled in the coach, the carriage moved back to the palace. The sun had already set and the carriage was moving at its full speed.

Alora kept her gaze out of the window as she enjoyed the night view. Her eyes moved to the sky, where she could see the moon, glowing bright and much larger than yesterday.

Startled by a distant howl, she turned to Magnus, her fear evident in her eyes. “Was that a werewolf?” she asked anxiously.

“Hmm, the Blood Moon cycle begins tonight. The moon will appear much larger than usual before taking its full shape,” Magnus explained calmly, reassuring her.

Abruptly, the carriage jerked to a halt, causing Alora to nearly lose her balance. Magnus swiftly steadied her, preventing her from falling.

“What happened?” Alora’s heart almost jumped out in fear as she thought again a werewolf attacked them. Magnus realized there were some vampires around the carriage. They must have gotten Alora’s scent.

“I will check,” Magnus opened the door’s latch to step out when Alora held the edge of his sleeve, thus stopping him from exiting. “Don’t go. Instead, let me go.”

“There’s no danger outside. Trust me,” Magnus asserted and put her hand away. He exited the door and closed it from outside, not wanting Alora to come out.

Magnus noticed the three vampires around the carriage and went toward one of them, who was at the backside. He peered into this young vampire’s eyes and compelled him. “Go home.” The moment Magnus said that the young vampire left the place.

Before the second one could open the door, Magnus held her hand. This one was a female vampire and she showed her fangs to Magnus. When he brought his real face out, the young female vampire timidly moved away from him and disappeared into the forest.

However, the third one couldn’t be seen anywhere. Magnus wondered if he had run away and went to the front. Magnus asked the coachman to drive the coach fast to the residence. He was quick to get inside the coach, where Alora was seated.

“Some young vampires had come because of your scent. This region belongs to the vampires,” Magnus explained to his wife. Once again the carriage had begun to move at its full speed.

“My scent is that strong?” Alora was surprised to learn that.

“No. Because you were the only human in the vicinity, that’s why it attracted some young vampires,” Magnus answered.

“Oh. But for Prince Magnus my blood scent is strong. Is there a certain reason behind this?” Alora curiously inquired.

“Because you are my destined other half,” Magnus replied. He smiled as Alora passed a smile to him. He looked out of the window, noticing how the moon was getting higher in the sky.

“I wonder if Venus became a werewolf or not. She didn’t wish to tell me because Eugene must have asked her to. Your Highness, could you please do something to find out the truth?” Alora made a sudden request from him regarding her sister. “I know you’d scold me for thinking about Venus. But I’ll blame myself if any wrong thing happens to her because I know her truth,” she explained.

Magnus remained silent. He acted as if he didn’t listen to Alora. She didn’t either talk about it anymore and turned silent.

Finally, their journey came to an end and they arrived at their residence. Magnus stepped out of the coach first, followed by Alora. She held her gown a little up and began walking.

“Brother, you brought Alora back,” Izaak’s voice fell into their ears, who was coming from the other side. Alora lowered her gaze and approached Magnus soon to stand beside him.

“Yes. She is safer here,” Magnus replied.

“Are you sure?” Izaak was puzzled. He knew Magnus would not be able to control himself at the peak of the blood moon. “Alora, at least, you should have stayed in your home. Magnus is usually not able to keep his control.”

“Thank you, Brother Izaak, but I’m fine around Alora. I’ll talk to you later. We are exhausted,” Magnus said and grasped Alora’s wrist before going inside.
