Upon reaching the chamber, Magnus let go of her hand while Alora rushed to drink water. As she poured a glass of water for herself, she was quick to chug its content down her throat.
“Hah! I feel good.” Alora wiped her lips from the back of her palm.
Selvina came in whom Magnus ordered to set the dinner table in the chamber for Alora. She bowed and left to ask the cooks to prepare dinner for Alora.
“Why does His Highness look so grumpy?” Alora inquired, her tone filled with concern. “I promise not to mention Venus again. Please forgive me,” she added softly, prompting Magnus to gaze at her.
“Come here!” Magnus commanded, and Alora obeyed, quickly making her way to him. He pulled her down onto his lap, gently bringing her hands to rest on his neck.
“How did you survive in that house?”
“Huh?” She looked surprised at his sudden query.
“No one ever loved you in that house, except for Mrs. Rhea,” Magnus opined. “Did you ever get the feeling of burning all of them?” He questioned her.
“Never,” Alora truthfully responded. “I always wanted to get rid of my eyes. I’m glad I found you because you made me see my eyes differently,” she explained.
“Hmm.” He understood why Alora was chosen for such eyes. No matter how harsh people were on her, she always kept her humbleness alive. It wasn’t easy to carry such a trait for a long time.
He kissed her cheeks before capturing her lips into a warm kiss. His hands moved to her lower back, drawing her close to him until their bodies pressed against each other. His rough lips against her soft ones created a passion between them.
With each kiss, Alora felt knots forming in the pit of her stomach, a mixture of nervousness and excitement coursing through her. Willingly, she parted her lips, inviting him to deepen the kiss. Her hands instinctively tangled in his smooth, silky locks of hair.
Muffled cries of pleasure remained trapped in her throat as his tongue met hers, eliciting a shaky moan from deep within her. Gasping for air, she surrendered to his gentle pace, savoring every moment of their intimate connection.
Finally, Magnus parted from her mouth. He showered kisses on her face and reached her neck. Her chest rose and fell in the anticipation of wanting more.
Suddenly, he stopped, causing Alora to open her eyes. She peered into his red orbs while inhaling and exhaling deep breaths. “You need to have your dinner. You couldn’t either have your lunch,” Magnus said while stroking her cheek from the back of his palm.
“I’m not hungry yet. We can continue,” Alora murmured.
It brought a smile to Magnus’s face. “After you’ve had your supper, we will continue, Wife,” Magnus stated and kissed the tip of her nose.

Magnus slowly got out of bed after planting a soft kiss on Alora’s forehead. He exited the bedroom, closing the door behind him. As he came downstairs, his eyes fell upon Izaak, who was present in the living room, drinking the blood from the supplies that Tobias had left for him.
“You don’t look well. Did Alora’s family refuse to keep her with them?” Izaak questioned his brother, who had finally taken the seat.
“Norman isn’t a good father. He always hated Alora and still does,” Magnus said in annoyance and picked up the glass filled with blood from the table. As he took a few sips, he further said, “I couldn’t kill them since Alora loves them.”
Izaak amusedly gazed at him. “I never thought you would become so weak in love,” he remarked.
“I am surprised at myself,” Magnus admitted. “The day Alora’s affection for those people ends, I will not let them live either,” he blurted out, sounding so desperate to kill them.
“What about Alora’s mother?” Izaak questioned him.
“She is the only sane woman among them,” Magnus replied.
“I wonder why Alora never burned all of them, except for her mother. At some point, we do get frustrated. Don’t you think, Magnus? You and I would have not to think twice before taking such a step,” Izaak stated and lowered the cup.
“You are right, Brother,” Magnus said.
“What about your blood thirst? You look calm to me when you should be looking for the fresh blood from the humans,” Izaak proclaimed with curiousness flashing in his eyes.
“It is Alora’s eyes magic. My thirst has disappeared since the last night,” Magnus answered.
“Pardon?” Izaak was puzzled by such a response from his brother. “Can you elaborate?” he questioned.
“Her eyes can control us,” Magnus stated in the simplified words. “I think Alora failed to control the power of her eyes when she was young. Also, everyone decided to neglect or stay away from her. Her eyes can do a lot more than we can even imagine,” he explained to his eldest brother.
“I do think she can look at everyone’s eyes. Only those are burned, who have ill feelings toward her or maybe who want her to die,” said Izaak. He tapped his finger on the rim of the wine cup he had held.
“I have the same thoughts. However, Alora doesn’t wish to look at anyone, excluding me,” Magnus stated and drank further from the cup he had held.
“How will you find the divine figure, who can answer all of your questions? Also, did you recall the time when you met Alora?” Izaak inquired him.
“No. I’ve not recalled anything related to that. Let the blood moon day pass, then I’ll go to the place, which Gloria had mentioned,” Magnus opined. “Gabriel has come to me yesterday. Alora was targeted by someone to be killed that night. A rogue werewolf was hired for it,” he told the matter to Izaak.
“Who did it?” Izaak questioned.
“It is unknown,” Magnus replied.
“What about his face?”
“The man had hidden his face from the mask,” Magnus replied.
“Poor, Alora! She has so many enemies when she is such a kind woman,” Izaak commented. When he noticed a frown on his face, Izaak quickly said, “I was always her friend.”
“I doubt you,” Magnus stated and brought the cup to his mouth.
