Chapter 14 – The Heiresss’ Revenge: Abandoned No More (Sandra Hill)

“I…” She wanted to apologize and take the blame. She had done the same when she offended customers before.

She just hadn’t been able to control her emotions this time.

“We don’t care,” Sandra sneered. “I’m actually looking forward to how the police will interrogate us.” She took a step forward, exuding a daunting aura. “The police will definitely ask why your wife came to this small coffee shop.”

She pointed toward the hospital across the street. “Is someone important to you living there?”

The man’s expression suddenly changed.

He panicked at once.

“You…”

“Honey, what’s wrong?” The woman couldn’t help but ask.

The man grabbed her hand. “Let’s go home.”

“No, I want to teach them a lesson!”

“Don’t embarrass yourself!” The man growled.

The woman was taken aback. “Why are you yelling at me for the sake of two strangers?”

The man gritted his teeth. “We’ll talk about this at home!”

Sandra interjected, “You came to the hospital together, so why were you here buying coffee while your husband went in alone?”

The woman was momentarily puzzled. She clearly hadn’t considered it. Sandra reminded her,

“Besides the renowned neurology department, the obstetrics and gynecology department is also famous at that hospital.”

The woman instantly understood.

She turned to interrogate her husband. “Are you cheating on me?”

The man couldn’t explain himself clearly.

The woman became enraged and scratched his face.

The man fought back in a rage.

Sandra turned around and comforted Rebecca quietly. “Don’t be afraid in situations like this. Protecting yourself is the right thing to do.”

Rebecca was still a little confused about how things had unfolded.

She hadn’t even clearly heard what Sandra had said, but she quickly nodded.

Afterward, the coffee shop resumed business, and Rebecca went to change her clothes.

Worried, Sandra followed Rebecca in and applied some medicine to her wounds.

“By the way, Sandra, how did you know that man had a mistress?”

Sandra earnestly combed Rebecca’s hair and tied it into a ponytail.

“He had the smell of breast milk on him, and he had a wristband used by the obstetrics and gynecology department.”

Rebecca asked seriously,

“Maybe he was visiting a relative or friend?”

Sandra smiled. “If that were the case, the woman should accompany him.”

If it was a relative or friend, the man shouldn’t be present when a mother was breastfeeding.

Rebecca thought about it and admired Sandra’s keen observation.

“You’re amazing. It seems like there’s nothing in this world that can stump you.”

Sandra didn’t respond to that. She just asked, “How did you end up working here?”

“Oh, I got into graduate school this year, so I’m earning some pocket money,” Rebecca replied.

Sandra nodded. “What’s your field of study?”

“Biomedical science.”

Rebecca had a few bruises and scrapes on her body, but they didn’t affect her work, so she didn’t take time off and persisted in going to work.

Sandra couldn’t persuade her otherwise and could only let her do as she pleased.

However, after Sandra walked out of the coffee shop, the manager approached Rebecca.

“Rebecca, tidy up.”

Rebecca was scared. “Sir, are you… going to fire me?”

The manager glanced in the direction Sandra had left. “No, the higher-ups think you’re doing a great job and are preparing to promote you.”

Rebecca was overjoyed. “Really? That’s great! Thank you. I’ll work hard.”

Sandra had just left the coffee shop when she saw Wesley coming towards her in his wheelchair.

“How did you know I was here?” she asked.

Wesley glanced at the coffee shop’s name and said calmly, “Leo can see you in the car.”

Sandra had forgotten about Leo.

She chuckled softly. “How did you come out so quickly? Didn’t you talk with your childhood sweetheart?”

Wesley’s face darkened.

“It’s okay. I’m not in a hurry. Go chat with her. I’m going shopping.”

There was a famous Metro Mall near the hospital, and she wanted to take a look there.

She ignored Wesley’s gloomy expression and turned around to leave.

Leo ran over and asked, “Mr. Cooper, should we follow?”

Wesley closed his eyes, rubbed his forehead, and asked,

“Where is the expert?”

“He’s waiting in the car.”

Sandra walked into the mall, intending to wander around casually.

It was a bustling area in Geniston with a wide variety of goods for sale.

As she walked past a jewelry store, the saleswoman immediately started to promote and pull her into the store.

“Miss, take a look at this. It’s our newly released gold earrings. They are embedded with jade, understated yet luxurious, very suitable for you.”

The saleswoman prepared to help her try them on.

Sandra waved her hand.

“I’m just browsing. You don’t have to follow me.”

The saleswoman looked her up and down.

A trace of disdain appeared in her eyes.

She thought Sandra couldn’t afford the earrings.

She regretted wasting her breath.

Naturally, she didn’t want to waste time on Sandra and went to serve other customers.

After browsing for a while, Sandra saw a pair of pure gold earrings.

The store was quite large and divided into three sections: inner, middle, and outer.

The more valuable items were displayed in the inner section.

The prices in the outer section, where Sandra was, were more affordable and accessible to ordinary people.

Angela, in the middle section of the store, chose several sets of jewelry and pouted, “You guys are so slow with your new releases. I’ve been waiting forever.”

The saleswoman looked at the items Angela chose and calculated her commission with a happy smile.

“Ms. Cooper, rest assured, as soon as new designs come out, we will let you choose first.”

Angela nodded and prepared to leave.

But just as she reached the middle section, she saw a familiar figure.

Her face immediately darkened.

It was none other than Sandra, who had just married Wesley and embarrassed the Cooper family.

Sandra was her sister-in-law.

But in her heart, her sister-in-law should have been Emily, who grew up with Wesley, not this country bumpkin!

Every time she saw Sandra, she couldn’t help but think of Debra and Hailey being humiliated. It made her furious. She gritted her teeth and pulled the saleswoman over.

“Do me a favor.”

As Sandra was selecting items, the saleswoman approached with a tray.

On the tray was a rose-shaped brooch made of pure gold.

“Miss, this brooch matches your outfit today. Would you like to try it on?”

Sandra’s gaze fell on the brooch.

She was a picky person and wouldn’t spare a second look if she didn’t like something.

The design of this brooch was very appealing and, as the saleswoman said, it suited her outfit today.

She casually picked up the brooch and took a quick look.

“It’s really nice. How much is it?”

The saleswoman glanced at it and said, “It’s 103,000 dollars. Cash or credit?”

Sandra had planned to pay by credit card, but she hadn’t expected to make any major purchases today and didn’t bring her card.

“Send it to the Cooper Villa. You’ll be paid there.”
