Chapter 43 – The Heiresss’ Revenge: Abandoned No More (Sandra Hill)

Sandra’s soft voice reached his ear.

“You seem to not care about those things.”

She sounded hesitant.

It seemed like she wanted to make a decision based on his attitude.

Wesley didn’t open his eyes.

His thin lips moved slightly.

His cold voice drifted with the breeze.

“I just want to take back what’s mine. If someone has a problem with that, there’s no need to keep them.”

Implicitly,

he could dismiss all the employees

and then reform the Cooper Group.

That would be equivalent to a major overhaul of the Cooper Group.

He would have to make a lot of effort, but it wasn’t worth it.

Sandra blinked, then suddenly took out her phone and did something.

Afterward, she impatiently put her phone away.

Her phone had a privacy screen protector, and Wesley couldn’t see anything on it.

His face darkened.

Then he heard her resolute voice.

“It’s not that troublesome.”

Wesley frowned.

Then he realized she was talking about the reform of the Cooper Group.

“Do you have a solution?”

Sandra smiled.

“We have a one-year contract. If the company goes through a major reform, it will be in turmoil.”

Wesley’s gaze dimmed.

Sandra continued.

“I don’t want the company’s troubles to affect my affairs.”

She hated trouble the most.

She had experienced a lot on the mountain.

People could change.

The employees may be loyal to Debra now, but it was hard to say if they always would be.

“It won’t affect you.”

Wesley’s tone was a little cold.

It sounded like…

he was angry.

Sandra shot him a puzzled look.

Wesley’s face remained expressionless.

She pursed her lips.

Men were really difficult to understand.

So annoying.

When they arrived at the company, the members of the Hill family were already downstairs.

Sandra didn’t pay much attention at first, but Joey reminded her, and she looked over.

Philip and Emily were talking to the reporters.

As they approached, they could hear their conversation.

“Are you accompanying Mr. Harrison this time?”

Ben was influential and rarely seen in public.

Knowing that Ben was coming to the Cooper Group for evaluation today, the reporters had been waiting.

But Ben was getting older and was not suitable for interviews outside,

so Philip and Emily interviewed on his behalf.

Emily smiled.

“Yes, Mr. Harrison values Philip a lot and takes him wherever he goes.”

“Mr. Hill is indeed talented.”

Then, a reporter standing in the back suddenly shouted,

“Mr. Hill, I heard that your brother-in-law is in charge of the department Mr. Harrison is evaluating today. Will you help?”

Philip looked up and saw Wesley and Sandra not far away.

His face became slightly gloomy, and his previously gentle tone turned cold.

“Mr. Harrison is a serious person and won’t favor anyone.”

He smirked in Sandra’s direction.

“If someone is not professional enough, Mr. Harrison certainly won’t let them pass, and I won’t mislead him either.”

The reporters sensed something was off and turned their heads.

Sandra looked so forlorn.

They immediately crowded around her.

“Ms. Sandra Hill, do you not get along well with your brothers since you came back?”

This question…

Sandra found it ridiculous.

She noticed that Emily’s and Philip’s faces darkened at once.

The reporters were anxious.

“Ms. Sandra Hill, can you answer the question?”

Sandra shifted her gaze from them to the reporter who had asked the question.

“Good question. The answer is written on their faces.”

All the reporters turned their heads.

Philip and Emily were completely caught off guard. The resentful expressions on their gloomy faces were quickly captured by the reporters’ cameras. By the time Philip and Emily reacted, Sandra had already taken Wesley away.

They wanted to chase after them and confront them, but they didn’t have the authority to do so. Their emotions had clearly gotten the better of them.

They could only swallow their anger.

Some reporters whispered among themselves, planning to write an article about the power struggle within a wealthy family, accompanied by photos.

However, Philip spoke bluntly, “One million dollars for the photos.”

The reporters hesitated.

But one million dollars! That amount could grant them financial freedom.

Only a few managed to react quickly enough and capture the moment. In other words, five million dollars would likely be enough to resolve the situation.

A tense silence filled the air.

Finally, a reporter spoke up.

“There are two of you!”

The others echoed in agreement, “Yes, two million dollars, and we’ll delete the photos.”

Philip gritted his teeth.

He had relied on the Hill family to get this far.

Even though he was now a teacher at an art school, his salary was meager.

He couldn’t even cover his basic expenses.

If he were given ten million dollars, it would almost wipe out his savings.

But if he didn’t give them the money… He looked at the reporters.

They all appeared arrogant.

He would have to give each of them two million dollars, or they would expose the matter.

He took a deep breath and gritted his teeth. “Don’t push it too far.”

The reporters were surprised. “You’re the son of the Hill family. Ten million dollars shouldn’t be a big deal for you, right?”

Philip was speechless.

Emily didn’t care about the money because she knew her brothers loved her dearly and would pay for her.

She was more worried about her reputation.

Now, everyone in Geniston knew she wasn’t the real daughter of the Hill family. If she lost her reputation, she would be despised.

New Book: Back Home to Marry Off Myself
