Chapter 77 – The Heiresss’ Revenge: Abandoned No More (Sandra Hill)

“Mason!”

“Look, it’s Mason!”

Before long, the lobby swelled with people.

No one was interested in work.

As Sandra and Wesley arrived at work, they saw this scene.

“It was Debra who negotiated with Mason.”

“Debra is formidable!”

“She has proven a true powerhouse.”

“Mason seems quite cooperative, waiting here for Debra. We haven’t even begun negotiations, and we’re already holding the advantage.”

“Be grateful to Debra. She’s my idol now!”

Sandra directed Joey to drive to the parking garage, avoiding the congested area.

Joey grumbled discontentedly,

“They should be grateful to Wesley. Now that Debra has seized the moment to claim credit, the shareholders will be impressed by her again.”

Sandra scoffed, “Are you suggesting she’s been stealing credit for years?”

Joey nodded affirmatively.

“Madam, you are perceptive.”

Joey elaborated,

“Much of the company’s collaborations and technology agreements were put in place by Mr. Cooper before his coma. All she had to do was sign them.”

The accolades belonged to Wesley but were stolen by Debra.

Anyone would bristle at this injustice.

Yet, after regaining consciousness, Wesley never bothered to mention these issues.

Sandra couldn’t help but give a thumbs-up.

“He’s got a high tolerance level.”

Wesley…

Joey, “Madam, you make it sound like he’s a masochist.”

Sandra chuckled,

“Haven’t you realized that he is?”

Joey, “Can he pretend that was never said?”

After disembarking from the car, they headed to the private elevator.

But by the elevator, they encountered Mason’s agent.

“Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Cooper, Mason wishes to speak with you both.”

Sandra sneered,

“Isn’t he here for Debra?”

She was voicing her displeasure.

Archie was embarrassed.

“We are here to talk to you and Mr. Cooper. Mason is waiting for you.”

Sandra turned to Joey.

“Arrange an available conference room.”

Joey immediately made a call.

Archie, grateful, ushered Sandra and Wesley away and hurriedly went to fetch Mason.

In the lobby, numerous employees gathered around Mason for autographs.

One called out loudly,

“Mason, are you here to discuss the garment department’s matters with Debra?”

At this question, the room fell silent.

Mason glanced at his vibrating phone and looked up at Archie standing by the door.

With a dismissive smile, he responded,

“When did I ever say I was here to see Debra?”

Those around were left speechless.

If he wasn’t here for Debra, did that imply he came to pick a quarrel?

When conversation turned to Mason, it seemed everyone had some knowledge to share.

If Mason wanted to stir trouble, the Cooper Group could well face a series of compensations.

Whether the boss lost money was of little concern to them. Their worries lay with whether this affair would impact their bonuses.

In an instant, their enthusiasm for celebrity cooled.

“Previously, there was an issue with the garment department. But Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Cooper have clarified things with me, and I’m here today to sign a new contract.”

The crowd murmured.

A voice called out, “But Wesley isn’t in charge of the garment department.”

Mason arched an eyebrow, questioning, “Is that so? Anyway, I’m here to talk to them.”

With this, it became clear to everyone present.

Previously, the garment department had been under the iron grip of Hailey and Terence.

However, as Terence developed Alzheimer’s, it was temporarily shifted to Debra.

Debra tried multiple methods to reclaim her possessions but only succeeded in attracting trouble.

Now, Wesley had made his move.

“It is Wesley who prevails.”

“It seems as if he is coercing Hailey to transfer all authority to him.”

“The garment department is quite lucrative, but due to the embezzlement of substantial funds, the company’s financial reports are affected.”

“Personally, I would prefer Wesley to take over the garment department.”

“This matter will certainly alarm Hailey. She will not relinquish power easily. But Wesley is also very determined.”

“Today, it seems we have quite the spectacle to witness.”

Archie arrived with a smile.

“Mason has other arrangements to attend to, please let him go.”

Right on cue, the security emerged and adeptly cleared the area.

Archie then escorted Mason onto the elevator.

Mason inquired, “What is their stance?”

“Sandra appears utterly indifferent toward the garment department.”

Mason responded with a laugh, “No matter what attitude she has, that’s my gift to her.”

Archie remained silent, sensing the risk inherent in the situation. Sandra, even having an acquaintance with Lisa, might not have the sway to influence Lisa’s decisions.

They knew the situation of the Cooper Group well.

It was divided into three factions: Debra’s, Wesley’s, and Hailey’s. The future direction of the Cooper Group was shrouded in uncertainty.

Yet, Mason bet his hopes on Sandra. Mason must have perceived Archie’s concern.

“Archie.”

“Hm?”

“Do you think Sandra, a village girl, who carved her way through the Cooper Group, is a simpleton?”

With that, enlightenment dawned upon Archie.

He smiled.

“I hadn’t considered that.”

The elevator halted. Debra was waiting to greet them.

A headache loomed for Archie.

They intended to collaborate with Wesley, but not at the cost of alienating Debra.

After all, the Cooper Group also had significant investments in the entertainment industry. They couldn’t afford her sabotage.

Yet now…

“Debra.”

Archie hurried forward with a forced smile.

Debra smiled.

“Those employees who asked for your signature will be fined.”

Archie said, “They just love Mason, don’t be too hard on them.”

“Since you plead on their behalf, I shall let it pass,” Debra spoke amicably.

Archie’s smile stiffened slightly.
