The sexiest noise I’ve ever heard in my life rumbled from somewhere deep in Jinx’s chest. His hand that was holding my cheek moved to the back of my neck. Where he gripped me, forcing my head back. His other hand moved to the small of my back as he pressed his body against mine, pinning me to the back of his bedroom door. Jinx’s tongue swiped across my bottom lip. Before I could open my mouth for him, he sucked in my bottom lip and bit down.
My eyes rolled all the way back as a deep and desperate-sounding moan escaped me. It had my eyes snapping open just as Jinx let go of my lip. My face flamed, but all he did was smirk at me before capturing my lips again. This time, there was nothing slow or sweet between us.
Jinx still had me pinned to the door. His hand that was on the small of my back moved lower until he was gripping a handful of my a.ss. It made me gasp in a breathy kind of way. Which Jinx seemed to love. He gripped me tighter, holding me to him. His hand on my neck moved to my hair, tugging the same way that I was with him. No one had ever done that to me before. Honestly, Theo was kind of vanilla. I never minded since he was the only person I had been with, and I thought I loved him.
However, when Jinx tugged just the right spot, it sent a jolt of lust rushing through me so hard that another moan slipped out. Jinx ate it up, and I… became more eager. I practically tried to climb the man, I was clinging to him so hard. Our tongues battled for dominance. Our lips refused to part. We were tugging, pulling, gripping each other.
Holy shit, is this a biker thing? Are they all this skilled? Or was Theo just bad at this? Because oh my god, wow. I would choose to continue kissing Jinx over air.
Something suddenly started to buzz in the room. It was like fuzzy background noise. Jinx didn’t seem to notice at first, so when it stopped, I pretended I never heard it. But then it started again.
And again. Finally, unfortunately, very reluctantly, Jinx pulled his lips from mine.
For a moment, even with the buzzing in the background, we just stared at each other. Jinx’s hair was a mess from me pulling on it. His lips were red and swollen, and fu.ck if that didn’t excite me in ways I’ve never felt before. The look in his blue-green eyes was what stole my breath though. I wasn’t sure what that look was exactly, but I could see the desire in them. They were darker than I’ve ever seen before. Heated from the moment we just shared.
For a second there, I really thought we were going to fall back into another kiss. I wanted it. I mean, his hands were still all over me. I didn’t want to stop in the first place. But then that buzzing sounded again, breaking whatever moment we were having. I realized finally that it was my phone in the pocket of my dress. I didn’t even feel it until now.
“Oh, uh,” I stammered as I grabbed my phone from my pocket. “It’s Emma.”
“Who’se Emma?” Jinx asked, his hands still on me.
“Her and her husband own this place,” I told him.
“Did you guys meet here before?” he asked.
“Uhm, no we just, uh, met when I got here,” I replied, stammering over my words.
Jinx furrowed his brow.
“You made friends with someone you just met?” he asked, sounding surprised.
A small smile touched my lips as my phone stopped ringing.
“Yeah, I did,” I said, looking at him, my smile growing. “Kinda crazy for me, right? Emma and Dale are so nice. I never thought I’d be able to have another friend again. Not after what Sophie did.”
“Sophie sucks,” he stated. “She was never a good friend. There are other people out there though worthy of your friendship, Thorn.”
I chewed on my bottom lip as I stared up at him. I wasn’t sure how to respond to that. I mean, obviously he was right because, ya know, Emma. But it was more than just that. It was the fact that
Jinx was surprised I had made a friend, the fact that he looked genuinely happy for me. Like he knows me more than either of us even realizes it.
We were getting caught up in another moment. Jinx’s hand that was buried in my hair moved to my cheek. He pulled back enough to gently run his fingertips across my jaw and my cheek. He pulled my bottom lip from my teeth with his thumb. My face heated as he stared at my mouth, his thumb pressing down in the middle of my bottom lip.
Just when he started to lean down, my phone started ringing again. We both jumped, this time breaking apart like a couple of teenagers. I looked at Jinx as he ran a hand through his hair. His shirt lifted enough for me to his chiseled abdomen, that se.xy V that men have leading inside their pants, and a trail of hair from his belly button, disappearing under his jeans. My mouth went dry, and I turned around, giving him my back.
Oh, this is going to be a difficult holiday.
Jinx’s P.O.V.
“Hey Em,” Deidra said as she answered her phone. Her back might be to me, but I saw her checking me out before she turned around. I almost grabbed her phone and tossed it out the damn window.
Just to stop the interruption.
Because f***k! We were having a moment. Both during and after that kiss. And what a fu.cking kiss that was. I’ve never had a kiss that felt like that. Not even earlier in the store. That sh.it was mind-blowing, yeah, but this time… It was fu.cking everything. I was lost. In a fu.cking kiss. That’s just… it’s fu.cking ridiculous.
I’m a bada.s biker for f***k’s sake. How many times have I said I was never going to settle down? One fu.cking kiss can’t change my mind.
But there’s so much more between me and Thorn than just that kiss…
“Sorry Em, I know, I know,” Deidra’s voice pulled me back to the present before I could start getting lost in my memories. “I thought I would be back by how. I know. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you.”
Worry her? How late is it? How long were we making out for? f***k, I feel like a damn teenager.
“Uhhh,” Deidra said awkwardly. She glanced back at me and blushed when she saw me already looking at her. “I, uhm, I think I can manage the walk back to my cabin, Em, but thank you.” She said, and then frowned at whatever Emma replied with. Yes, I will call you as soon as I get back. It’ll literally be like 5 minutes, if that.” Then there was another pause. “Fine, fine. Yes. Okay. Bye.”
Deidra blew out a breath as she turned around to face me again. Her face was getting redder by the second, and she couldn’t look me in the eyes. It was cute. I liked the shiver of interest that moved down my spine. Here I have Deidra Hartman in my room. The woman whose given me sh.it for as long as I can remember. And now, instead of yelling and glaring at me… she looks like one move from me, and she’ll crumble in all the best ways.
“Uhm, I-I should probably get going,” she finally said
All I could manage was a nod of acknowledgment. did at least open the door for her. I followed her to the front door and helped her into her coat. Then I started putting my boots on as she put hers on.
“What are you doing?” She asked me, her eyes accusing me of something. What, I have no idea.
“Walking you to your cabin,” I replied as I finished tying my boots and stood up.
“Why? I can walk myself-“
I put my finger over her lips, stopping her from finishing her bratty thoughts. A blush coated her cheeks, making me smirk. I kept my finger there for a moment too long, loving the feeling of her plump lips against any fu.cking part of me.
“I’m walking ya, Tiger Lily,” I told her. “End of story.”
Deidra frowned at me and rolled her eyes before opening the door.
“Stop it with all your stupid nicknames already,” she grumbled as she walked out into the freezing night. “I’m not part of your MC, ya know.”
I snorted out a laugh.
“If you were, your road-name would be Thorn,” I told her. “Because you’re a thorn in my side.”
“Then what’s with Lily-pad and Tiger Lily, and… what else was it that you used to call me?” She asked, throwing me a look as she wrapped her arms around herself.
I threw my arm over her shoulders, pulling her to my side and trying to act as nonchalant about it as possible. Thankfully, Deidra didn’t fight it. In fact, she snuggled in more. It made a huge grin break out on my face.
“Let’s see,” I replied. “There’s Lotus, Daisy, Rose, Tulip, Sunflower, Bluebell, Gardenia, Marigold, and my personal favorite, Wisteria.”
Deidra rolled her eyes, but I saw her cheeks get redder.
“Why can’t you just be normal?” She grumbled.
I shrugged.
“Not in my DNA I guess,” I muttered.
“I suppose that’s probably for the better,” she said, surprising me.
“Really?” I asked, glancing down at her, but she was focused on the cleared path in front of her.
“Yeah, I mean, who wants to be normal?” She replied with a shrug before looking up at me with a smile. A smile so huge, bright, and genuine that it took my breath away. “You’re part of a motorcycle club. Grew up in it and everything. That s kind of really exciting if you ask me.”
“Uh, y-you really think so?” I asked her.
