She did not want her impression in Daniel’s heart which she had so painstakingly built since she was young to crumble now.
When Niamh saw that Naya had stopped retorting arrogantly, she smiled in satisfaction. She did not talk to Naya anymore. Instead, she faced Daniel.
“Dan, I think you already have an answer to who exactly is the one lying and putting on acts. I just want to tell you not to do anything that you’ll regret. Your amnesia is just temporary. You’ll remember everything soon. By then, you’ll also remember who you truly love.”
After Niamh said that, she peered at Naya and turned around to leave carefreely. Niamh spotted Naya glaring at her with an extremely aggressive look.
Niamh smiled calmly and arrogantly. “My dashcam didn’t capture anything, but the guilty party ended up revealing the truth with their silence.”

Naya finally realized that she had walked straight into Niamh’s trap. When she wanted to curse at Niamh, the woman had already left the doorway carefreely.

Daniel lifted his warm eyes, then his gaze became stern all of a sudden. “I feel dizzy now. I want to go back to my room to rest.
After he said that, he turned around to head toward the stairs.
Naya quickly followed after him. “Dan, we’re childhood sweethearts. Do you really not trust me?”
Daniel paused in his tracks. “I want to believe you, but can you tell me why you were quiet just now?”

Naya was speechless at that second. Then, she could only watch as Daniel left her and went upstairs.
Naya clenched her fists in unwillingness when she recalled the trap Niamh had set for her.
She clenched her teeth, but at this moment, there was no way for her to vent her anger.
“Great! After Niamh caused such a scene, Dan might really change his mind.” Daniel’s mother’s voice came softly from behind Naya. She sounded as if she was saying that this was none of her business.

Daniel had no idea what was so urgent, but the hurried knocks gave him a headache.
“Dan, open the door now!” Daniel’s mother’s urgent voice could be heard.
Daniel got up and unlocked the door before opening it. When he saw his mother looking anxious, he frowned.
“What happened? Why are you in such a hurry to look for me?”
“Something bad happened to Naya!” His mother emphasized.
For some reason, Daniel was calm when he heard the words. He just felt inexplicably irritated.
“What happened to her?”
“She left a suicide note and attempted suicide by overdosing!” Danie’s mother did not look like she was joking. “She’s being rescued in the hospital right now. We’re not sure if she’ll be able to make it. Dan, you have to go check on her no matter what.”
When Daniel learned of the situation, he did not delay things. He grabbed his coat and rushed to the hospital with his mother.
The doctor came out of the emergency department the moment they arrived.
Daniel saw Naya’s parents rushing over to ask about Naya’s situation. Then, the doctor quickly gave them an answer that reassured them.

“Eveline, Ava, how can you two still be in the mood to eat?!” Naya’s mother started screaming. She had discarded her image of a prim and proper lady from the upper class a long time ago.
Karen knew Naya’s mother because they would always see each other in their circle of rich women. Now that Naya’s mother was pointing and screaming at Niamh, she naturally got up to protect Niamh.
“Mrs. Mendez, why are you pointing at my daughter- in-law and screaming at her? How did my daughter- in-law and her friend offend you?”
“Karen, you still have the nerve to ask! Your son is so unlucky to have married this kind of woman!”
“Shut up!” Kendrick interrupted coldly all of a sudden. His cold gaze fell on Mrs. Mendez’s face. “It’s my greatest blessing to have married my wife. Mr. Mendez is the unfortunate one for having a wife like you and that kind of daughter.”
“…” Naya’s mother did not think that Kendrick would retort to her like that. “You…”
“What? Is my son wrong?” Karen stopped being polite to Naya’s mother. “Look at you. You’re a lady from the upper class, yet you came here like a shrew. What is it that happened that can’t be discussed in a civilized manner?”
“Discuss in a civilized manner? How do you expect me to do that? My daughter took half a bottle of pills and attempted suicide after what your daughter -in- law said to her. We almost lost her. How do you expect me to talk calmly?”
A hint of doubt flashed across Niamh’s and Kendrick’s eyes when they heard this. However, Ava was surprised and confused. What did Niamh say that caused Naya to attempt suicide?
