After thinking it over, he turned to Angela.
“Ms. Cooper, could you please persuade Mrs. Cooper?”
He just wanted to know what the Cooper family wanted so they could end this as quickly as possible.
He didn’t mind compensating!
The saleswoman trembled.
If Sandra made an exorbitant demand, the loss would be attributed to her, and her career would be ruined.
Angela’s soft voice broke the tension.
“It was indeed a misunderstanding, but you did hurt Sandra’s feelings. If you simply compensate her with money, she may not be happy. Since she likes the items in your store, why don’t you give her a membership card with a discount?”
David was overjoyed.
He hadn’t expected such a good idea.
It would resolve the crisis and retain Sandra as a potential customer.
He didn’t care about Sandra’s reputation, as long as she spent money here.
“Our store’s membership card gives an 80% discount. It’s already the largest discount.”
David spoke sincerely.
“But today, we did make a mistake. Mrs. Cooper, everything you buy today will be at a 50% discount!”
He had heard that Sandra didn’t have much money on her and couldn’t afford that brooch. The store would lose money on this incident, but they could make it back in the future. Most importantly, he could maintain the store’s reputation.
Angela chuckled.
“Wow, 50%! Sandra, if you can’t make a decision, I will call Wesley and let him decide for you.”
“No need!” Suddenly, a male voice interrupted.
The onlookers at the entrance stepped aside.
Wesley approached slowly in his wheelchair.
He reached his hand out naturally to Sandra.
Sandra was surprised.
Seeing that she didn’t react, Wesley raised his hand higher and grabbed her hand.
Sandra’s eyes widened.
“Let’s go take a look inside.”
The wheelchair automatically moved forward, and Sandra could only follow along.
David’s face turned pale instantly.
If they were only going to the middle section, the losses wouldn’t be too great. But he was afraid…
Hoping that Wesley would leave him an out, David watched as the couple went directly to the inner section.
The items there were collectibles, most of them priceless!
His heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly followed.
Sandra glanced at the sweaty David and chuckled softly. “What’s wrong, Mr. Martin?”
David swallowed nervously and smiled wryly. “Nothing. You can choose freely.”
“Good to hear,” Sandra responded.
She looked around the room filled with collections in amazement.
Briani Jewelry Store was truly worthy of being called the largest jewelry store in Geniston.
Among the collections was the “Angel Wings” worn by the Queen of Terlandia.
It was sold for 800 million when the queen retired.
She thought she would never see it again.
“I want this.”
Sandra pointed at the “Angel Wings,” priced at 1 billion dollars but discounted to 500 million dollars.
The price seemed reasonable, considering it was a regret of her master’s. It would make her master happy, so she felt that it was worth any amount of money.
David’s forehead was covered in cold sweat.
If he sold it to Sandra at a 50% discount, they would lose 300 million dollars.
If the store owner found out, he would be in big trouble.
Wesley lightly tapped the armrest of the wheelchair and asked, “Just one?”
Sandra raised an eyebrow and grinned at him.
Wesley pointed to more than a dozen valuable collections, his face expressionless. Including calligraphy, jewelry, and more.
David covered his chest, nearly suffering a heart attack.
The total value was over 2 billion dollars, plus the “Angel Wings,” resulting in a loss of over 1 billion dollars.
“Mr. Martin, please pack them up,” Wesley said.
Sandra didn’t expect him to be so generous.
For a moment, she couldn’t tell if he genuinely wanted to buy these items or if he had a hidden motive.
Either way, these items were free.
David asked with a quivering voice, “Are you taking all of them?”
Angela entered the room.
Seeing the jewelry displayed on the table, she was overwhelmed with jealousy. She was almost driven mad by it.
When she spoke, she could barely maintain her usual composure.
“Wesley, what are you doing?!”
Even though the Cooper family was wealthy, their situation had changed significantly due to Victor’s and Wesley’s illnesses.
The value of these items exceeded 1 billion dollars, enough to start an enterprise.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they were wastrels.
Wesley’s cold gaze fell on Angela.
Sandra sneered.
“I saved Wesley’s life. It’s only right for him to repay me.”
Angela gritted her teeth. “Who knows if it had something to do with you?” She glanced at David.
David gave her a threatening look.
It was clear that if they took these items, Angela would be responsible for the losses.
Angela’s heart trembled.
She immediately spoke up.
“Even if Wesley dotes on you, you should think about him. The Cooper family’s money doesn’t just fall from the sky!”
Sandra burst into laughter.
“Yeah, but some worms almost gave it all away.”
Angela’s face stiffened.
After Wesley became a vegetable, his shares naturally fell under Debra’s management. Over the years, the dividends from those shares…
She couldn’t help but feel guilty.
“Then…”
Wesley looked at David. “Pack them up and send them to the Cooper Mansion. Let Mrs. Debra Cooper pay for them.”
Angela panicked.
Let Debra pay?
It would be better to kill her!
“Wesley, you can’t…”
Wesley interrupted her coldly. “Don’t waste our time.”
Angela was shocked.
She had been spoiled in the Cooper family since birth. Wesley didn’t like Debra, but he had always treated her with respect.
Today, however, he had humiliated Angela like this!
“Wesley…”
Tears welled up in Angela’s eyes.
But Wesley ignored her and just stared at David coldly. “What are you standing there for?”
David felt a pang in his heart.
When Angela suggested it earlier, he thought Sandra was just a country bumpkin with little money.
He assumed he would only lose a few thousand dollars if she bought some gold and silver jewelry.
He hadn’t expected this…
Now, he regretted it.
While instructing the staff to pack the items, David followed Wesley and Sandra with a wry smile.
He feared they would choose other items.
