[Finally! Someone took that creep down!]
[He got caught in a hotel trying to pressure an actress into sleeping with him!]
[Take that, you creepy old pervert! You should’ve been locked up years ago!]
After giving her statement at the police station, Amelia quietly slipped away.
As soon as she got home, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Marcelo. “Are you nuts? Did you have something to do with Wilson’s arrest?”
Amelia replied coldly, “Of course I did. Why bother asking? Too bad your perfect plan just fell apart.”
Marcelo’s messages came one after another, filled with anger. “Wilson’s a top director! I did this for your career! Do you have any idea how much damage you’ve caused us?”
He was furious.
Thanks to Amelia, no director would work with their company again.
Who wanted to risk ending up behind bars?
The entertainment industry had always been messy. Everyone knew directors and producers had their share of shady business.
But now, Amelia had dragged Gianna into this too, and Marcelo couldn’t stand it.
Amelia gave a cold laugh and called him directly. “What your company loses has nothing to do with me? And don’t play dumb. You knew what Wilson was like, yet you still pushed me toward him. What were you hoping for? Be careful. Next time, it’ll be your turn.”
Marcelo froze. He knew Amelia meant every word.
She was a lunatic that was out of control.
Amelia’s voice sharpened and warned, “Your precious sister pushed me off a cliff during that reality show. She may think it’s over, but I’ll make sure she pays.”
Gianna probably thought she was safe because there was no proof.
But people forget, nothing escapes the eyes above.
When Amelia returned to the cave that day, she found a tiny hidden camera near the entrance.
The director must have set it up to film the moment they discovered the treasure.
Instead, it caught Gianna shoving her over the edge.
The device had gotten wet in the rain and powered down on its own. But Amelia had it now.
After discovering the memory card, Amelia took it home and worked on repairing it.
Finally, after hours of effort, she got it to work. The camera had captured the exact footage she had hoped for. The video clearly showed Gianna pushing her off the cliff.
Amelia smirked. Let’s see how the Nygards react when they watch this.
But not yet. She wasn’t ready to show her hand. Let Gianna dance a little longer.
“Gianna would never do something like that! Stop framing her!” Marcelo argued over the phone.
“Really?” Amelia replied coldly. “Then ask her yourself. Good thing I cut ties with you people, or else I’d probably end up just as rotten as you all.” She hung up without waiting for a response.
Marcelo listened to the beeping sound on the other end, his jaw tightening in anger.
Gianna walked over and asked concernedly,
“Marcelo, what happened? Was it Amelia again? She’s gone too far! If she keeps this up, no director will ever want to work with our company again.”
That awful witch! She had ruined her own future and mine too.
As Gianna complained, Marcelo suddenly looked up. Amelia’s earlier words echoed in his mind.
Frowning, he asked, “When you two were filming that reality show, it was just you and Amelia by the cliff, right? How exactly did she fall?”
Gianna’s face went pale at the question. Her fingers twisted the hem of her dress. “Marcelo, why are you asking me that? S-she slipped and fell by herself!”
Marcelo locked his gaze on her shifty eyes. His stomach dropped.
He knew her too well.
Marcelo grabbed her wrist and demanded, “Tell me the truth!”
“Arghhh!” Gianna cried out in pain. Tears spilling down her cheeks. “Marcelo, you’re hurting me!”
Marcelo looked at her with a cold, unfamiliar expression. “Y-you really did it.”
Gianna knees gave up, and she fell on the ground with a thud. “I didn’t mean to! I was just so scared that Amelia would take everything from me!”
Marcelo’s face twisted in disappointment. “Do you realize what you’ve done? That’s a crime! You could go to prison!”
Gianna lifted her chin, defiant. “There were only the two of us there. If Amelia had any proof, she would’ve shown it already.”
That was the reason she dared to push Amelia-no witnesses, no evidence.
Marcelo sighed, torn between anger and guilt. “You acted on impulse. Amelia won’t let this go. You know what kind of person she is.”
In his eyes, Gianna had always been spoiled and dramatic, but never reckless. Now he saw how wrong he’d been.
Amelia was the type to always get even.
If Amelia decided to strike back, Gianna wouldn’t stand a chance against her.
“Marcelo, what matters most right now is fixing the company’s problems,” Gianna said quickly, trying to steer the topic away. She didn’t want him to see her as a terrible person.
“Yeah, I know.” Marcelo rubbed his temples, clearly overwhelmed with the issue.
With Wilson’s scandal out in the open, everyone in the industry probably knew it involved one of his company’s artists.
And this mess was bound to drag the rest of his artists down with it.
After Gianna returned from the reality show, viewers had already started turning against her.
Most of her endorsements were canceled.
Meanwhile, Amelia’s fame was supposed to soar, until that whole mess happened.
Marcelo was drowned in troubles.
As expected, Marcelo started calling every director and producer he knew, but one by one, they all made excuses and backed off.
His company was blacklisted by everyone in the industry.
And, of course, he blamed Amelia for everything.
The Nygards hated her to the core, but there was nothing they could do.
They had planned to use a contract to keep her tied down. After the recent scandal, no one dared to hire her for any job.
So, Amelia’s days became surprisingly peaceful and easy.
That afternoon, her phone rang. It was Josie.
They hadn’t seen each other since Amelia filmed the reality show.
“Amelia! You heartless woman! You came back from filming and didn’t even call me. Do you even know what day it is today?” Josie’s mock-angry voice came through the line.
“I’ve been busy dealing with scumbags.” Amelia laughed. “But I was just about to call you. It’s your birthday today, isn’t it? I’ve already got your gift. Let’s meet up.”
“Seriously? You’re the best!” Josie cheered on the other end. “Tonight we’re doing something wild. I booked us a booth at Siren Bar. Dress to kill. Let’s show the world what you’ve got and make that jerk Vincent regret everything.”
Amelia chuckled helplessly. “That breakup was ages ago. You’re still hung up on it?”
“Of course!” Josie huffed indignantly. “After the way that jerk treated you? I’ll hate him forever!”
After hanging up, Amelia stood before her wardrobe, thinking for a moment. Finally, she picked a black bodycon dress with a backless design-sexy yet elegant, perfectly showing off her graceful curves.
At nine o’clock sharp, Amelia arrived at Siren Bar.
As soon as she stepped inside, she heard Josie’s cheerful voice shouting across the room. “Amelia! Over here!”
Josie showed up in a bright red mini dress that turned heads the moment she walked in.
Standing next to Amelia, who wore sleek black, the two of them-one fiery red, one dark and cool-instantly became the center of attention.
They had just taken their seats when a commotion broke out near the bar entrance.
Maxwell swaggered in. His arm was wrapped around a girl caked in heavy makeup, followed by a few of his sleazy buddies.
“Ugh, what rotten luck,” Josie muttered, rolling her eyes.
She recognized him right away. Just the thought of the Nygards made her feel the air turn sour.
Maxwell spotted Amelia too. His brows furrowed.
He walked over and said coldly, “Amelia, what are you doing here?”
Amelia looked at him, unimpressed. “Last I checked, this bar doesn’t belong to you. Who let the neighborhood dog off its leash to bark around here?”
“You-Amelia! Who are you calling ‘dog’?” Maxwell shouted.
