Tears were running down my cheeks as I listened to him. Next thing I know his lips are on mine and I just melted into him. I have never felt anything like this before. As he pulls away, he looks into my eyes, “I am not going anywhere, if anything I am looking forward to what comes next for us.
As we walked back to his truck I could not get rid of the smile on my face. I couldn’t wait to see what comes next for us either.

Dean and Amy were arriving later today with the moving company. Morgan and I are getting ready to head to the apartment to help them set up their new apartment. Morgan and I have been on a few more dates since we confessed our feelings for each other, and he has been nothing but understanding with my need to take it slowly. We have held hands and shared a few kisses, and it has been amazing seeing how different he was compared to Mark. After I thought about it, I realized how selfish Mark was during our whole relationship. Every move we made in the relationship was on his insistance and I would eventually give in. I am determined to do things at my pace this time. As we left Morgan grabbed my hand and we walked the short distance to the apartment Dean and Amy will be moving into, they were meeting the land lord here to get the keys since all of the other details were taken care of. Last notification I got from them was they were about 20 minutes away. My excitment has been growing because I will have my best friend here with me. “So I was thinking that maybe we can have a pizza delivered for dinner, because I am thinking we will be helping them most of the day. I know Amy can’t do any heavy lifting and I figured we can take care of furniture while you and Amy unpack the boxes.” I looked at Morgan as he was talking, I leaned my head on his shoulder, “I like that idea, you can never go wrong with pizza, but garlic cheesy bread is also a must.” Morgan laughed at my comment, “Your absolutely right.”
As we walked up to the apartment, we sat on the front step awaiting their arrival. Morgan kissed the top of my head and I just smiled at how sweet he was being. When I looked into his eyes all I could see is tenderness and leaned in kissing him. “Okay, wow I think I need some explanation here missy.” I looked up as I see Amy walking up to us with a smile on her face. “When did this all happen, last I heard you were just good friends.”
“This is all recent, and I was going to tell you when you got here. Our feelings changed the more we spent time together, but we are taking things slow because I can’t be rushing into another relationship.” I stood up as I talked to Amy, but I still held on to Morgan’s hand. “So, when is your land lord due to arrive? We just decided to wait outside but I didn’t know when you were meeting him.”
“I called her right after you, so she should be arriving here also any minute.” She had just finished stating that when a car pulled up and a older lady got out. “Are you Amy? I have your keys here, but I also have some details for the utility company, I would give them a call first thing after the weekend to get it transferred into your name. Just call me if you have any questions.” She handed Amy a set of keys and a folder. “Thank you, yes we will be in touch if I have any problems, also thank you for meeting us here so quickly. Our stuff should be arriving soon, so we will go ahead and get started.” Amy went to unlock the door as the land lord took off with a wave.
Morgan and Dean unloaded a few things from their truck that they didn’t want in the moving van while Amy and I went into the apartment. It was a cute little place and it will get them by for awhile, however they did have to put some things into storage until they can purchase a house so they will unload everything they can and Dean will take them to the storage shed he rented to drop off the rest.
We have been working now most of the afternoon. Everything has been unloaded between here and the storage shed. Morgan and I ordered dinner for us all and we were sitting around their table enjoying some cold drinks while we wait on the food. Amy has spent most of the time grilling me for all the details about Morgan and I, but as I told her, it is still new so there is not a whole lot to tell yet. After the food arrived we ate in silence because we were all starving by this point. We have unpacked most of the items that are essential, Amy can take her time with the rest. She just wanted to make sure the daily stuff was ready to go.
