Chapter 27 – His Betrayal Novel Free Online by Natalia Jeseye

“I am so glad you are finally here, I think we should all go out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate.” Morgan stated as he finished cleaning up his stuff from the table. “There are some really good restaurants in town we can do dinner and a movie. I think there are a few good films at the local theater. What do you all think?”

After we all agreed on plans Morgan and I walked back home to get some much needed rest. I was wiped out, but I was not ready to let Morgan go yet. “I don’t know how long I will be up but what do you think about just curling up and watching some TV? We can watch some Supernatural, I know we have plenty of those to watch since we are only on Season 2 yet.” Morgan smiled and nodded, “That sounds good, I am up for watching one or two episodes.” We got to his place and he popped some popcorn while I got some soft drinks from the fridge. We turned turned on the tv and sat and watched what demon Sam and Dean would be fighting tonight. Half an hour into the show we were both passed out curled up together on the couch. We didn’t realize how tired we were, and once we were comfortable we were knocked out.

Mark

“I don’t care what you have to pull, I do not agree to this divorce and do what you have to. Get this thing thrown out! Whatever!” I yelled at my attorney then slammed my cell phone down on the table. I can’t believe I am still dealing with this, my attorney is useless, he is telling me to just take the clean break now because he thinks the divorce will be granted. I got up and went to the liquor cabinet to find it empty, slamming it shut I grabbed a beer out of the fridge. My phone notification went off that I had a text, I grabbed my phone seeing that it was Sandy wanting me to swing by tonight. I quickly typed back that I wasn’t in the mood and tossed my phone down. I just wanted to get drunk, I had drove by Dean’s earlier only to find them gone, my lawyer was seriously pissing me off, and now I have Sandy harassing me. Why can’t things just go my way for once? I sat down on my couch chugging the beer and turning a game, not really paying attention to who was playing I just stared at the screen. What am I going to do? I refuse to give up on my marriage, but why can’t Jessie just come to her senses. We had a great marriage in my opinion, I always came home to her even when I had to get what I needed somewhere else. She was my wife, she vowed to stay with me, but then she just up and left. I have to get her back, even if it takes me going there and dragging her back. As I chugged my drink I started thinking of a plan. I will have to make sure that I can come up with something where Dean, Amy and whoever that guy was outside her place are not around. It is going to take watching her and her routine for a few days. Jessie is usually predictible and keeps to the same routines. I had taken a leave of absence from work for a few weeks saying I had a family emergency so I am going to have a little time to go there and figure out my plan.

Morgan

I felt like I was walking on air the last couple of weeks since Jessie and I got together. When we shared our feelings I was scared at first that she wanted to end our friendship and when she had walked away to sit on the bench my stomach had just plummetted. I was thankful it was just her nerves with telling me her feelings, because since I have gotten closer to her I couldn’t imagine not spending time with her anymore. I was getting ready for our double date with Dean and Amy, I had decided to take them to the same restaurant I took Jessie to that night. I figured it would be the perfect place to take them to eat, and I also thought it would be safer for Amy with food choices being pregnant. I threw on my black jeans and a dark blue button down shirt, when I walked over to Jess’s she answered the door wearing a dark purple dress that was form fitting. God she was beautiful, she smiled at me grabbed her purse and took my hand walking out the door. “Jess you look amazing tonight.” I pulled her into me giving her a gentle kiss.

“Thank you. You look handsome tonight as well.” We got into my truck and drove to the restaurant. Dean and Amy got there about the same time as us so we walked in together. “You guys are going to love this food. Morgan took me here a couple weeks ago and it was amazing.” We were seated and while we waited for our drinks we talked about how their move out went.

“I am so glad we got a company to help us, but I still hope the house sells soon. The realter said it is priced to sell and she has a couple of appointments to show it this week. What I wanted to tell you about though is guess who showed up at our house not long after we got back last time?” Dean and Amy went on to share how Mark had shown up at their house, Amy had told him off and slammed the door on his face. Then he had the nerve to sit there and wait for Dean to come home, only for it to end with Dean beating the cr*p out of him. When we asked what brought that on Dean filled us in. “He wanted to know why we were moving so I told him he was part of that reason but we wanted a better area to raise our child. He had the nerve to call me a backstabber for standing by you instead of him. I was already mad about him showing up here in town and that made me snap.”
