Chapter 343 – Until You Say Sorry Novel

Niamh understood. At the same time, she also vaguely understood why Felipe would support her financially from her words.

It was because both of them had also lost their parents.

Perhaps Felipe felt sorry for this girl because of their shared experience.

Niamh then drove Felipe and Cathy back to the house in the suburbs.

The maid had already prepared Cathy’s room for her.

Niamh was about to go back as it was getting late, but Felipe stopped her.

He held her gently and caressed her long hair with his fingers. “Eveline, I missed you so much after I left.”

He told her how he missed her and how his longing for her came from his heart.

Niamh leaned against Felipe’s chest emotionlessly. She could not stop herself from recalling how she felt when she was with Kendrick.

“Eveline, are you okay with me bringing Cathy here?” he asked her as if he was asking for her permission.

Niamh escaped from Felipe’s hold and said, “Of course, your house is her house too.”

Felipe smiled tenderly, his deep eyes staring straight at Niamh’s face.

He caressed her eyebrow with his warm fingertips, then they slowly traveled down to her lips. “Why are you bleeding here? Are you hurt?”

Niamh’s face heated up after she heard that, and she lifted her hand to touch her lip. “Maybe I accidentally bit myself just now.”

She wiped away the dried blood hurriedly.

Felipe’s eyes shifted as he watched the changes in Niamh’s expression like he was in deep thought.

“Felipe, it’s late. I want to go home now. Jack and Lily are waiting for me.”

“Okay.” Felipe did not stop her.

Cathay turned around dispiritedly when she saw this from outside the study.

After Niamh went home, Felipe called Nevaeh.

Nevaeh told him everything about Yvonne kidnapping Niamh and Karen. However, she did not mention anything about her slandering Niamh online and her attempts to seduce Kendrick.

She was terrified of Felipe. This man was truly something else if he was able to save her from execution.

However, Felipe did not just have Nevaeh as his pawn. His subordinate whom he had planted here told him about Nevaeh’s whereabouts these few days after a short while.

He also presented the photo of Kendrick and Niamh kissing in the car to him.

Felipe was livid and smashed the iPad into pieces. His usually calm and composed face was overtaken by a hint of darkness.

He called Nevaeh and ordered her to come to his place with a tone that was extremely cold. One could not decipher his emotions at this moment.

After he hung up the phone, he threw it onto the desk. He spat out a few words frigidly. “Teach her a lesson. Just leave her with one last breath.”

“Roger, Mr. Waldburg.”

Nevaeh arrived at his place in the middle of the night, feeling terrified. When she got there, she was dragged to the basement by Felipe’s bodyguards where she was beaten violently.

When she was gasping for air, Felipe appeared in front of her. He was towering over her as he peered at her. At that moment, he looked like a tyrant who had control over everything. He had a stern and murderous aura around him.

Nevaeh wheezed and begged for mercy. “I won’t do it again. I really won’t…”

Felipe squatted and looked disdainfully at her face that was similar to Niamh’s. “I don’t think you’re taking what I say seriously.”

“No, I won’t do it again. I swear.” Nevaeh’s eyes were filled with terror.

Felipe scoffed. “You even went to that perfumer to buy an aromatherapy kit to try to seduce Kendrick. However, do you know who that perfumer Nell is?”

Nevaeh lifted her head in confusion. There was a hint of disdain in her eyes. “Isn’t she just a perfumer?”

“Hmph.” Felipe looked at Nevaeh in disgust. “Eveline is Nell.”

“W-What?” Nevaeh’s eyes widened as she could not believe it. “M-Niamh is that perfumer? How is that possible? How is it possible that she even knows how to blend fragrances…”

Felipe looked at her from the corner of his eyes. “You’ve overestimated your capabilities.”

“…”

Nevaeh stared blankly ahead as she was completely dumbfounded.

She thought she had designed the perfect trap. However, in the end, she was the person who fell into the trap first.

Niamh was Nell the perfumer, which meant that in those three years of Kendrick suffering from insomnia, he was depending on Niamh’s aromatherapy kit to sleep.

She did not expect Kendrick and Niamh to have this kind of connection that was so mysterious and inexorable.

Nevaeh bit her lip unhappily. Then, she heard Felipe’s warning coming from the top of her head. “Stop provoking Eveline. If this happens again, I’ll let you have a taste of being blind as well.”

“…”

Nevaeh’s pupils constricted, and she could feel a chill traveling from the bottom of her feet to the rest of her body.

After Felipe went back to his study, he used half an hour to digest everything that happened in Glendale when he was absent. However, he still could not accept Niamh kissing Kendrick in the car.

The next day, he got out of the house early in the morning and drove to Waldburg Manor.

When he entered the house, he saw Kendrick pushing the old master out of his room carefreely.

Felipe’s eyes darkened as he walked over with a chuckle. “A blind man pushing a cripple. How interesting.”

Kendrick heard that and stopped walking. Then, the old master looked over angrily and saw Felipe walking toward them with a mocking smile.

“Felipe, you… Don’t do anything rash. Your parents’ death is not what you think. I—”

“Shut up.” Felipe interrupted the old master with an icy gaze. “You don’t have the right to mention my parents, you murderer.”

“Felipe, your parents died in an accident. It had nothing to do with Grandpa,” Kendrick explained with a tone that was even colder than Felipe’s.

“Those were two human lives and you’re trying to distance yourself from the matter by saying that it’s an accident. Do you think I’ll believe you?” Felipe snorted. Then, he looked at Kendrick provokingly. “I’m here to see you today.”

Kendrick understood and asked the caretaker to send the old master back to his room.

Old Master Waldburg was very worried and kept telling Kendrick to be careful and vigilant.

Felipe did not know that Kendrick had regained his vision, so he strutted over to him and narrowed his eyes.

“Do you remember what I told you last time? You should be a proper ex. Get out of Eveline’s life and memories completely by no longer appearing in front of her. However, it seems that you’ve forgotten everything.”

Kendrick scoffed after he heard that. His eyes were calm but cold. “I also said that if you can’t give Nia the happiness she wants, I’ll steal her back from you even if I become blind.”

“The biggest mistake I made is saving Nia from the sea that day on the island and handing her to you. After that, the second biggest mistake I made was pretending to not love her and ignoring her completely,” he said as a sharp glint appeared in his eyes. “Felipe, I won’t hand my woman to you on a silver platter again.”

An icy glint appeared in Felipe’s eyes after he heard that. “Kendrick…” He stopped himself and asked slowly, “Are you sure?”

Kendrick replied without hesitation, “I’m sure. Unless Nia tells me herself that she never wants to see me again.”

Felipe laughed. “Okay, I’ll make you give up completely then. I’ll make Eveline say that to you,” he said in certainty. Then, when he turned around, he stopped abruptly and felt his heart skip a beat.

Niamh was standing quietly at the entrance of the house.

When Kendrick saw Felipe’s strange expression, he turned his face and saw Niamh at the door.

Felipe did not know how much Niamh heard, but from her face, he knew she heard something that might be detrimental to him.

Yet, Felipe still smiled and walked toward her. “Eveline, why are you here?”

“I come here to see Grandpa,” Niamh answered.

“Grandpa is fine. I checked on him just now,” Felipe said, lifting his hand to grab Niamh’s shoulder. “Eveline, I have something to tell you. Let’s go.”

Niamh looked at Kendrick who had been looking at her the entire time. Then, she nodded. “Okay.”

Kendrick stopped Niamh as he watched her walking away with Felipe. “Nia.”

Niamh stopped in her tracks, but she did not turn around.

“Nia, I won’t do anything that’ll upset you anymore. I’m sorry about what happened in the car yesterday.”

Even though Kendrick did not go into details, Felipe knew clearly what he was apologizing for.

Niamh did not answer him. On the contrary, she walked away with Felipe.
