Chapter 35 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

“This time I would not let you hit me,” Izaak affirmed after interrupting Magnus in the middle. “Don’t let your life fall in danger because of a human.” His tone and expression became stern. “If Alora is not cursed, then what is she? Don’t you think you have turned into a foolish man?” He raised doubts about Magnus’s behavior.

“Alora got such eyes for a reason. The reason is unknown to me. But I’ll find out soon. I’m not you, Brother Izaak, who get scared with such a message,” Magnus asserted and pressed his finger against his temple.

“Explain the reason to me why she got cursed eyes,” Izaak demanded an answer from him.

In a second, Magnus pulled Izaak up by grabbing the collar of his overcoat. “Don’t annoy me. And don’t call her eyes cursed.” His iris turned into fiery red and his fangs showed up.

“Magnus, she has cursed eyes. You cannot deny this fact. I will tell her that her husband will die if she stays close to him,” Izaak said with a grin and pushed Magnus away before running away. Magnus went after him, trying to stop him.

Izaak pushed the door of the study room and found Alora on the chair. Before their gazes could meet, he averted them.

“Prince Izaak!” Alora exclaimed and lowered her eyes before standing up. “What are you doing here?” She was puzzled to see him.

Magnus reached into the study room and stood in front of Izaak. “Leave!” he said.

“Alora should know for what I am here,” Izaak asserted.

Magnus clenched his fists tightly while Alora confusedly glanced in their direction. “What does Prince Izaak want?” she again asked.

Magnus leaned close to Izaak’s ear. “If you tell her, I’m going to rip your heart off. Don’t force me to do that,” he warned, his tone dripping with menace.

Rolling his eyes, Izaak begrudgingly conceded. He knew all too well that Magnus was not one to make idle threats. “You’ll regret this, Brother,” he muttered. “Fine. I won’t tell her, but only if you agree to let me work alongside you,” he added, bargaining for his own safety.

Alora strained to catch their conversation, but their words remained just out of reach for her.

“That will depend on how you act,” Magnus whispered and turned around to look at Alora.

“Sister-in-law, my apologies for any alarm I may have caused,” Izaak offered his humble apologies. “I simply wanted to share a story about my brother’s mischievous antics as a child. But seeing you’re occupied, I’ll take my leave,” he suggested. With a final glance towards Magnus, he turned and departed.

Alora was still puzzled, wondering why Izaak rushed in, and then left with such a weird response.

“Did His Highness fight with his brother?” Alora asked.

“No. Why would I do that?” He came to the study desk and sat on its edge, looking at the sheet, on which she had been practicing.

“What happened between you two?” Alora changed her question.

“Nothing,” Magnus replied and pulled the sheet to him. He smiled to see how beautifully she wrote those alphabets, despite being new to this.

“His Highness is hiding something from me,” Alora murmured.

“You shall get a reward for what you have written,” Magnus said and met her gaze.

“Really?” Alora’s breath caught in her throat as Magnus suddenly materialized in front of her, his hand gently cradling her neck.

Magnus leaned in, nibbling at her lips before pressing her against the desk with a newfound urgency. His kisses, once tender, now possessed an insatiable hunger, leaving Alora gasping for breath as he devoured her, his passion overwhelming.

Alora’s hands instinctively gripped the edge of the desk for support as she surrendered to the intensity of his embrace.

Magnus didn’t wish to lose Alora in this quest to find a cure for her eyes so that she could live normally like others. The way everyone wanted her dead, filled him with discomfort.

He felt her hands on his arms, pressing on them, and gradually withdrew, giving her enough time to breathe. When their eyes interlocked, he saw how puzzled she was at his act.

“Something did happen,” Alora murmured while panting.

“No.” He again captured her luscious lips, keeping the kiss tender.

Alora pressed her hands on his chest and pushed him away gently. “Your eyes cannot lie to me,” she pronounced. Biting her bottom lip, she placed her hand on her cheek and caressed it. “Prince Magnus can share his worries with me. I hope he does.”

He smiled to hear her and lowered her hand. “I don’t get worried. I make other people worry,” he proclaimed.

“Why did Mother invite Alora to my marriage when she knew that she cannot even look? I don’t understand why Mother want to ruin such a beautiful day,” Venus said annoyingly.

“Why do you speak like this toward your sister? You know well in what circumstances Alora grew up. As her sister, you should have supported her always,” Rhea said while closing the boxes of necklaces after them checking them.

“Mother, tomorrow, no one will be able to enjoy because of Alora. Everyone is scared of her eyes. Also, I found nothing good in her, which could make me support her,” Venus pronounced. She stood up from the vanity chair and turned around to gaze at Rhea.

“You sound just like your grandmother, and that disappoints me the most,” Rhea muttered, her heart heavy with sorrow. “Alora is a selfless soul. Have you not seen how much your sister longed for the love of her siblings? Elliot never even bothered to acknowledge her existence. It breaks my heart to see my children treat their sister with such disregard.”

“Mother, I’ve suffered because of Alora. And now she’s living a life of luxury in the palace. Who would have thought she’d end up as one of the prince’s wife? She’s gotten more than enough in this life, or else she wouldn’t have deserved it,” Venus stated with a firm gaze. “You always prioritize Alora over me and Elliot,” she lamented, feeling neglected.

“I never intended to do that. I regret my foolishness, knowing it caused Alora so much suffering,” Rhea murmured, her voice heavy with remorse as she brushed away the tears welling in her eyes.

Venus rolled her eyes, feeling a pang of jealousy towards Alora. She couldn’t help but think that Alora had somehow lucked out, perhaps because of those captivating eyes of hers. Alora had managed to capture Magnus’s heart, something no other woman had achieved. The day Alora married the royal prince, a vampire no less, only fueled Venus’s envy.

Although she never dreamed to marry a vampire, but seeing Magnus with Alora, Venus felt if she could also get such kind of fortune as her sister.

They heard a knock on the door and Elliot walked in since it was open.

“Sister, Mother, I’ve double-checked all the preparations. Everything is in perfect order,” Elliot announced, flashing a reassuring smile as he sensed the tension between them.

“Is this about Alora again?” Elliot inquired, noting the strained atmosphere.

“Yes. Mother has invited Alora to my wedding. I just hope nothing goes wrong tomorrow because she seems to bring negativity wherever she goes,” Venus remarked bitterly.
