Chapter 38 – His Betrayal Novel Free Online by Natalia Jeseye

Dean and I decided to make something together at home instead of going out since it was just us. We decided to put the ingredients together for tacos, so I started slicing the veggies while he cooked and seasoned the meat. Once everything was ready we sat and ate, and talked about how work has been going. Morgan then brought up wanting me to make sure I am not alone coming and going from work. “Can you make sure you are walking out to your car with someone, until Mark is caught I don’t want you alone. I wouldn’t put it past him to try something at the school.” I nodded, “I understand your concern and I already planned on doing that because I thought of that too.” We finished eating, cleaned up our mess and watched some TV to relax for the rest of the night.

The next morning I got ready for work and walked out to my car with Morgan. We made plans to take tonight off from packing at his place and go on a date. Morgan wanted to take me out to dinner and a movie. I kissed him goodbye and took off for school. I had planned to check in with the security guard in the school and ask him to walk me out to my car after school. I made a mental note to check in with the police department back in Tennessee to see the status of the search for Mark, or if there were any sightings.

After securing the security guard, who was so sweet and told me he would be happy to make sure I safely get to my car, I then went to my office and looked at my calendar for the day. It was a light day for me on sessions with students so I used this time to check in with teachers, and occasionally observe some of my students in the classroom setting. I always enjoy this time because I can make notes on things that might be beneficial in sessions. At lunch time I checked in with the police department, only to find out that there were no sightings of Mark yet, or the woman they figured out had helped him escape. I am praying they catch him soon, I have a bad feeling though that he will pop up here again.

Mogan has completely moved in and we are going out for a celebratory dinner with Dean and Amy. It is odd that this feels more like home since he has moved in and we combined our two homes into one. I look forward to coming home knowing that I share it with him. I have just pulled in at home, and I knew Morgan would be home soon. We planned to meet Dean and Amy at the restaurant, and I looked forward to catching up with Amy. She told me she is starting to show but she said her appetite is on and off depending on the food.

As I walked up to the door to unlock it I noticed a woman knocking on Morgan’s door. She was extremely pretty and I knew it wasn’t one of his sisters since I have met them all. “Can I help you?” I walked towards her a few steps. “No, I am just looking for Morgan? My parents told me he lived here and I wanted to talk with him.” She knocked again as she turned away from me. “Well, I can tell you he does not live there any longer so he won’t answer the door.” She turned back to me, “Really? My parents told me he lived in this apartment. You know what, I will just get in touch with him later.” She started to walk away and I just stared at her wondering who she was. I unlocked my door and walked inside and stood there for a moment, I will just have to ask Morgan when he gets home. I ran to jump in the shower to take a quick shower, as I was standing under the hot stream I felt arms wrap around me. Smiling, I turned around and Morgan lifted me so I could wrap my legs around his waist.

Morgan started kissing me as he quickly slipped inside me. “All I could think about was you today, and how much I needed this.” I threw my head back as he said this and all I could focus on was his movements and how quickly I was getting worked up. Once we both found our release we both cleaned up quickly and got ready to head out. As we were getting dressed I figured I would mention the woman from earlier. “When I got home today there was someone knocking on the door to your old place. It was a woman and she mentioned wanting to talk to you and her parents told her where you lived.” He stopped getting ready and looked at me completely puzzled, “Did she say who she was? I can’t think of anyone who would have been going to my old place, anyone who needed to know about my move here I told.”

“She actually didn’t tell me, she said she would get in touch with you later. She was about our age, attractive, long blonde hair, she is about my height.” As I gave that basic description, he stopped and looked at me and then pulled out his phone. He walked over to me and pulled up Facebook as he stood next to me and typed in his ex-girlfriend Karen’s name. A profile popped up with that woman’s, and I felt sick to my stomach. “That was her, she didn’t tell me her name at all but that was her.” I did catch that they were not friends on there before I turned away. I don’t know why but I was feeling insecure all of a sudden because I knew they had a long history together. I was suddenly spun around, “Jessie, I know what’s going through that head right now and I will tell you there is nothing to worry about. Even if she does want to reconnect, I am not interested at all because first of all I have you and secondly she crushed anything we had when she left like that.

Hearing him say that made me feel better, but I still wanted to know what she wanted. “I love you and I am sorry it is hard not to have those insecure feelings sometimes when it comes to someone you have such a long history with even though she did that at the end. I still am curious what she wants but I love what you just said and I know you mean it. Having you here with me makes this place feel even more like home to me.” I kissed him and he pulled me into a tight embrace and deepened the kiss. I pulled away chuckling, “Okay we need to finish getting ready or we will be standing up our friends, and I know Amy, she will not let me live that down.” He started laughing and went back to getting ready.

Dinner went great, we spent time catching up with them and Amy filled me in on how her doctor appointments have been going. They shared the great news that someone made an offer on their house that they accepted and they have a closing date in a couple weeks as long as everything moves along smoothly. I asked them if they have been looking around yet for a home here, to which Dean jumped in and stated that they decided to wait until after the baby, mainly to keep the stress down for Amy. He said he didn’t want to stress her out with a second move while she was still pregnant, and it gives them more time to stash more money. I was so happy to have them here with me, and even though Dean was Mark’s friend first, he felt like a brother to me.
