Grimacing, he pushed himself to a sitting position with a lot of difficulty. Whiny bitch. I didn’t even beat him on the body or anything, just his face. That annoys me every second I look at it, I can’t help it. After so many pathetic attempts, he had settled down, in the Indian position, facing me with his head down.
I clasped my hands in front of me, the phone between me. “So, I’ll tell you a story I heard recently, and you help me decide what the people in the story deserve, you get it?”
He kept his lips sealed, earning another leg nudge from me, this time with more force. He was quick to nod his head, the words tumbling past his lips. “Yes, Sir.” He hung his head low, refusing to meet my gaze.
I smiled, then nodded my head slowly, releasing a small sigh, I narrated the story. “So, there’s this girl, right? Beautiful, extremely smart and bright like sunshine with a smile that sparks up the world. She’s like the warm rays of sunshine, leaving warm imprints of herself everywhere she goes. Sounds sappy, right?” I grinned, then nudged him.
He shook his head, “No, it’s not sappy.”
My smile fell, “Liar. I know it is.” I suspired, “But, I don’t care. Anyways, so this beautiful lady fell in love with this man, an ungrateful bastard really,” I waved it off, “Out of her kind personality, she simply fell in love with regardless of knowing her family wouldn’t support it. She even cut ties with her family for him, and moved away to another continent just to become his wife, giving it her all and leaving her wealth. Oh, and just by the way, he didn’t know she’s a trillionaire heiress. The story’s interesting huh?” He kept his head down, making me tilt my head, “Do you know what happened afterwards?”
James looked away, refusing to meet my gaze. I didn’t prod him to answer that, knowing I have more pressing questions for him later. So, waving it off, I carried on.
“His family treated her like absolute shit, basically turning her into a maid for their biddings. She was acquainted no respect, and even the man she loves and dedicated everything for, ignored her and was too busy sinking his tiny dick into every possible fish stinking pussy he could find, ignoring the loving wife he has at home that a lot will kill to have. He left such a wife for other cheap fishes out there. He’s a bad person, don’t you think? A terrible one?” This time around, I prodded him for an answer.
He seemed to be hesitating, but when he saw me move my leg in an attempt to nudge him again, he was quick to nod, responding before I could hit him. “He’s a terrible man.” He confessed, swallowing thickly. “A really terrible one.” His voice was shaky.
I smiled, nodding in agreement. “I agree with you. He’s a piece of shit. Hmm?”
James nodded as well, offering me an uneasy smile that didn’t reach his eyes, and seemed forced. “Yes, he is.” He wasn’t trying to fight back though, just abiding, so I could get over with it.
“You know, he’s even worse than shit because he divorced her after bringing another woman into their house, thinking she’s nothing compared to the woman he brought. Little did he know was his ex-wife’s family are the one were sponsoring the woman he brought home’s career even.” I tutted, shaking my head as I feigned pity. “I feel bad for him really, especially when he found out who his ex-wife truly is.” I threw my head back and laughed. “That’s a lie, I don’t feel bad for him. His expression then was priceless.”
James swallowed thickly, then hung his head low.
When my laughter died down, I lost all the faux lark on my expression, then settled my steel gaze on him. “Do you know what’s annoying me though?” My voice dropped an octave lower, turning threatening. “Instead of this piece of shit to plead for her forgiveness, he sided with her step-brother to screw her over by a video he took himself, then cut it and send only the half, just to give a false story. Do you want to see the video?”
He looked away, but I leaned down, harshly grabbed his chin and forced him to look as I played the video that showed Isabella from when she was married to him, and his father, who came home apparently drunk. She seemed scared in the video, trying to get out of his sight, but he blocked it, leaving her no room to leave.
Just like I did with James a few minutes ago, he gave her a cigarette, only this one was the one that was in his mouth, lit up and forced her to put it in her mouth. Then, he made her clench her teeth and…
I closed my eyes firmly, shutting out the scene that hadn’t left my mind since I found out thirty minutes prior. The same brewing, scorching anger I felt earlier coursed through my veins, making me feel pissed all over again because of the pain and assault she had to go through in the hands of that man.
And if that wasn’t enough, after hitting her multiple times, he leaned down and tried to sexually assault her while she screamed and tried to kick him back. But, he overpowered her for the first few minutes. Luckily, James’s brother, Richard, showed up just in time to push his father off her. He held him back, then asked Isabella to run to her room and lock it while he dealt with the drunken old man.
When the video ended, James looked guilty as fuck, and the look angered the living crap out of me. Tossing the phone aside, I yawed his gaze to meet mine, then uttered with so much anger dripping from my tone.
“Do you know what angered me the absolute most?” When he kept shut, I added. “That her useless good for nothing husband recorded this, then pretended as if he had no idea what happened only to bring this up now, and cut it to make it seem as though his poor wife was having an affair with his father. That he’s still trying to ruin the innocent wife. Why? Just so he can ruin her, because his ego was bruised and he is an absolute piece of shit.” My hand moved to cover my mouth, as I kept quiet for a few seconds.
A few, dragging and unsettling anger passed before I added. “What do you think this ex-husband deserve?”
James tilted his head down, and was quick to scramble to get himself in a kneeling position. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Kingston. Please, forgive me. I swear…I swear on my life, I won’t do it again. Please forgive me this once, I beg of you. M-my family depends on me, my company is not doing that good and my father,” He heaved a sigh, his desperate eyes lifting to meet mine, pleading desperately. “My father is gravely sick. That’s why I did that. Alexander Montague said he would pay for the medical bills if I helped him bring her down. I swear, that is why I did it. Please spare me this once. My father’s life depends on this, please Mr. Kingston.”
His apology, it means nothing to me. If anything, it only annoys me more, especially since he’s confirming something I already know-Alexander Montague’s involvement in all this.
I released a deep sigh, pushing myself to get on my feet. Reaching my hand out, I picked up my phone, turned off the song, then turned around to look at him. “This is just the beginning, Donnelly. I will ruin you till you can no longer find peace anywhere. That, I promise.” Surprisingly, my voice managed to come out composed. I then added, my threat ringing loudly.
“And if you want to know just how bad it’ll be to get on my bad side, then try to even think of touching my woman again. Breathe the same air she does, be in the same space as her, and I’ll make your life a living hell. You’ll fully understand my wrath when it comes to my woman. Be sure to pass my message to Alexander Montague. He and I will cross paths soon as well. I’ll pay him back for his role too. I owe him that much.”
