I stopped walking stunned, that text was a bit disturbing that there was someone asking him to just basically walk away from me to give Karen another chance. “Who sent this to you, I am not liking this message, I won’t lie to you.” Morgan sighed, ” That is from Karen’s mother, Lynn, and she has been pushing for us to get back together since Karen broke things off with me. You are not the only one that does not care for this message.” He took the phone back and responded back with a simple answer to her basically stating that would not be happening, and hopes that they can all respect that. We continued to walk back home and our discussion went back to planning our vacation and Morgan also stated he wanted us to go horseback riding next week because he was feeling the need to get back out and do that. I laughed stating that it was a date and we enjoyed the remainder of our night together drama free.

I watched her as she walked with that guy back home. I know they live together now, it pissed me off that she could so easily move on and actually move in with someone else. I have been biding my time trying to think of a plan to get her, but I also know we can’t go back to Tennessee. Jessie doesn’t know this but I have a cabin in Colorado that was left to me, I just never get a chance to go there. I may just take her there when I get my chance, I just need to get everything set up first. I have been watching those two since they left the apartment, and I know they are in for the night so I decided to head back to the cheap motel I found on the outside of town. I didn’t want to chance staying at the same place as before. I decided to pick up a quick meal from the bar on my way to the motel. As I sat there drinking my beer waiting on my food someone walked up to me, “Hey there handsome. What are you doing sitting here all on your own.” I looked over and I see a gorgeous blonde standing there in a skin tight dress that hugs her curves in all the right places. I smirked, “Well, I am not on my own anymore. Want to join me for a drink?” She sat down next to me and all thoughts of my planning went out the window, this woman would help my sour mood for the night. After I ate and we finished a couple of drinks I dragged her back to my room. Even though I didn’t catch her name I figured I would ask in the morning if I remembered, I didn’t really care at this point as long as she could help me blow off some steam that’s all that really matters at this point.

I can’t even believe that Karen had the nerve to approach Jessie and me at the park, but then to go and pull her mother into my rejection. Karen ruined our relationship with how she walked away all those years ago, and after being with Jessie I can honestly say that what Karen and I had pales in comparison to what Jessie and I have. I hope that my message got through yesterday and they will leave us alone. I just want to focus on keeping Jessie safe and keep moving forward with our relationship. I told Jessie I needed to run a couple errands and I would be home in a couple hours. I know she has been busy with work stuff in her office and I didn’t want to be a distraction so I figured I would run and get groceries and take care of a few of my things while I was out. I was just thankful I was able to talk Jessie into waiting to open her private practice until Mark was caught. I didn’t want her possibly alone in her office if he decided to show up.
I ran around to a few places I needed to stop to get some supplies to work on my truck later, then I stopped at the local flower shop to get some flowers for Jessie. I love seeing her face light up when I bring her any sort of gift. My last stop was the store, we had a list of things we needed for a few recipes so I walked around gathering everything. I was looking through the produce when I felt a hand on my arm, I looked over and there was Karen and Lynn with a shopping cart. “Morgan, I am glad we are running into you. I really think you and Karen should go somewhere to talk since she is back in town now. You both were so great together and spent all of your time together when you were younger. How about I leave you two to catch up while I run around getting what I need.”
She started walking off before I could even respond, I sighed and looked at Karen, “There is nothing to talk about and I don’t appreciate what either of you are doing. I have moved on and you both need to respect that. What I have with Jessie is real, and what we had at the time was nice but it was young love. You did me a favor when you left because it gave me the chance to figure out what I needed. I am going to get my groceries and go home to my girlfriend and you need to move on.” I started walking away when Karen stopped me, “There is something I need to tell you that you have the right to know. It was not fair for me to keep this from you, can you come outside and talk to me please.” I nodded agreeing to give her a couple of minutes, I just wanted to get back home.
We walked off to the side of the building and Karen looked extremely nervous, she kept wringing her hands together. “So, after I left when I broke things off I found out I was pregnant.” I stiffened up at her words, “WHAT?!?! Are you telling me I have a kid?” She paled at my question and she looked at me. “No, I was 18, just graduated and I didn’t want to be stuck with a child. I had the pregnancy terminated, but I wanted to let you know. I wanted to tell you though because there was a chance it was yours.” Now those words stopped me cold, I looked up at her, “What do you mean when you said there was a chance it could be mine?” This conversation was starting to irritate me, first she told me after all this time she was pregnant, now she is telling me that there was a chance it was mine.” She is looking even more nervous now, “Morgan I have realized that I have made a lot of mistakes. My first one was when I got close to one guy friend and we ended up hooking up a few times before graduation. We stopped not long before I left town, but I should never have ended things with you.”
I looked at her and I was shocked, “Ok, are you listening to yourself right now? You were cheating on me, either got pregnant by this guy or me, broke up with me before you left town, terminated the pregnancy without telling either of us, and now you are upset because I also won’t take you back. I don’t even have words for everything you’re telling me right now, I am going to finish getting my groceries and I want you to just stay away from me.” I walked back into the store and made quick work of getting everything on our list. I saw Lynn looking at me while I was paying for our groceries but I ignored her and walked out. I don’t even know how to process everything she just said. I could have been a father if that was my child, but there was a chance it was not mine. I quickly brought the groceries home, but I took off after putting the items away so I could drive and think.
