Chapter 43 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

“I have an important work outside,” Magnus said as he wore his boots. In a blink of an eye, he approached Alora and planted a soft kiss in the center of her forehead. “Have your dinner and sleep tight.”

“Will His Highness come late?”

“Yes. That’s why don’t wait for me and go to bed early. Today was a tiring day for you,” he said and got off the bed.

He exited the bedroom, making sure to close the door behind him.

“Is it necessary for Brother Izaak to accompany me?” Magnus asked as they both reached the foyer, where a carriage awaited them.

“Yes. I told you I would help you in finding the answers for Alora’s eyes,” Izaak affirmed.

They arrived near the carriage and the coachman opened its door.

“Tobias, don’t let Alora roam anywhere at night. Make sure she goes to bed early,” Magnus instructed him. He felt Alora would stay awake for him and he didn’t wish that to happen.

“I will, Your Highness,” Tobias assured him.

Both the princes entered the carriage and left for ‘The Trident’.

“Have you met Gloria before?” Izaak inquired.

“No,” Magnus replied. “What is she like?” he asked.

“Gloria hates vampires. A vampire killed her brother. But to maintain the peace, she decided to let it go. However, what I think is that Gloria has still that grudge inside her,” Izaak affirmed.

“Father didn’t tell me all this,” Magnus remarked.

“Father would have thought you knew about it. But I know my youngest brother. He hardly keeps such knowledge,” Izaak pronounced. “I believe she hid the truth from our Father. She can shield her thoughts because of her abilities,” he proclaimed.

Magnus now wondered if he would be able to see through her mind. “What I think is that the woman who bestowed such powerful eyes on Alora wasn’t a witch. But something more. The message I received wasn’t from her, but from another person than her because someone wants Alora for his/her use,” he expressed his thoughts to Izaak.

“That can be a possibility,” Izaak said.

“A werewolf was specifically targeted on Alora. Why do I feel it’s related to werewolves?” Magnus murmured.

“Werewolves aren’t powerful,” Izaak muttered.

“They are created by the Moon Goddess to keep a balance. They are indeed powerful,” Magnus opined. “I always had this thought that Alora could be killed at a young age, but no one either attempted to kill her. Neither us vampires nor the werewolves or witches. Humans did want to, but couldn’t.”

“You believed Alora’s eyes are her shield,” Izaak reminded him. “Perhaps attempts were made, but they were futile in front of her magical eyes,” he affirmed.

“Yes. I believe her eyes shield her from something none of us knows. That’s why I want to find that answer from Gloria since the witches use magic to learn such facts,” Magnus stated.

Magnus pulled out the chair for him and settled on it. It was his first time seeing Gloria and realized that she was quite old, probably in her late eighties.

“I thought only Prince Magnus would come,” Gloria said as she placed her both on the table. All her ten fingers were covered in the various stone rings.

“I thought not to let my brother go alone,” Izaak replied.

“I heard Prince Magnus can look into Alora’s eyes,” Gloria asserted. “Is he here to ask me about that?” she queried.

“Yes. Also, why does Alora have such eyes?” Magnus queried.

“I tried to find out about it long ago- When the rumors began about a human being born with eyes that could burn anyone,” Gloria truthfully told him.

“What about now? Can’t you find it now?” Magnus inquired.

“I tried the day His Majesty sent me the message. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything. But I got the sight of a woman, who didn’t seem to be a human. It was someone divine,” Gloria pronounced. “I couldn’t make a communication with her.”

Izaak was surprised to learn that Magnus’s guess was right.

“Do you think attempts were made to kill Alora?” Magnus asked.

“I think so. But I never heard any such cases, except the one in which she was attacked in her journey to Elmswood,” Gloria answered.

“We still couldn’t find the appropriate reason behind that attack,” Magnus stated.

“Will Prince Magnus give me his hands?” Gloria humbly asked.

He forwarded his hands on her request. She grabbed them and closed her eyes. While mumbling some words, which were not understandable to both the vampire princes.

Gloria shook her head and her brows frowned as she saw something. Opening her eyes, she let go of Magnus’s hands. “Did Prince Magnus ever meet Alora before?” she queried.

“No,” Magnus refused.

“He did. I saw him saving her life,” Gloria answered.

“I saved her only in Elmswood,” Magnus replied.

“No. You have met Alora when she was young. I saw it. You must have forgotten about it,” she explained to him.

“Why can only Magnus look in her eyes? Are they fated to be with each other? What do you think about this?” Izaak inquired.

“The divine figure whom I saw is the only one who can give the right answer on this,” Gloria asserted. She didn’t wish to say anything without any confirmation.
