Chapter 44 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

Before heading out of the residence, Magnus had made sure to pick the sketch of the woman, which Rhea helped the artist draw. He took it out and opened it before placing it on the table.

“Was this the divine woman you saw?” Magnus queried.

Gloria looked at the sketch keenly and nodded her head. “Yes. This was the divine figure, whom I saw,” she confirmed.

“So, I need to find this woman,” Magnus stated and folded the paper.

“How will His Highness find a divine woman?” Gloria questioned.

“I won’t find her. She will come to me,” Magnus replied. He thanked Gloria for her time and for being truthful to him. “We shall take our leave,” he stated and left his seat.

“If I find something related to Alora, I’ll inform the prince about it,” Gloria stated.

“Sure,” Magnus said and exited the room.

“Do you think my brother’s life fall in danger if he keeps Alora with him?” Izaak asked with a worried glance.

“I cannot tell the future, Prince Izaak,” Gloria clarified to him.

“Hmm. Thank you for your time,” Izaak said and left the Trident. Upon reaching outside, he entered the same carriage in which Magnus was already present.

“We found nothing useful,” Izaak muttered.

“I cannot remember when I met Alora. Gloria didn’t let me see through her mind,” Magnus answered.

“Perhaps you met her when she was a child. Wait! You returned to Velaris after thirty years,” Izaak affirmed.

“Yes. That’s the question. Even if I came in between, I never encountered any child. I never stepped into any human colony,” Magnus affirmed while furrowing his brows together.

Alora couldn’t sleep right after having her dinner. She decided to practice writing the alphabet and did it for an hour. Tired, she put the quill pen down for some time and looked at the shelves filled with numerous books.

Alora stood up from her place and went to one of the shelves. She took out a random old book, which was certainly heavy. Bringing it to the desk, she cleaned the dust from it and opened it.

“Your Highness, it’s the time you should go to bed,” Tobias suggested as he entered the study room while keeping his eyes low.

“I’m unable to sleep. I will wait for the Prince to return,” Alora replied.

“Certainly. However, Your Highness, I’ll be scolded for not asking you to go to bed. It will take some more hours to return,” Tobias opined.

“Okay.” Alora closed the book and picked up the blindfold. She donned her eyes with it and turned to Tobias. “Please help me go to my chamber,” she requested.

Tobias lifted his eyes and asked the maidservant with her to support Alora in walking. While heading to her chamber, Alora asked Tobias, “Is there a graveyard nearby?”

He was perplexed by that question. “No, Your Highness,” Tobias answered.

Alora hummed and recalled how she would see the graveyard repeatedly in her dreams. She felt it was somewhere in the palace, but now, Tobias refused to do it, so she didn’t ask further.

“Why did Her Highness ask about a graveyard?” Tobias questioned.

“I was curious to know,” Alora replied.

Tobias found it weird, but he ignored it simply thinking it was truly Alora’s inquisitiveness. She was escorted to her chamber soon. The maidservant made sure Alora would go to bed before leaving the bedroom.

Alora tossed and turned on the bed since she found it difficult to sleep. Her thoughts were on Venus as she was worried for her. “I hope she doesn’t turn into a werewolf,” she murmured.

Alora turned around as her hand rested on something solid, which turned out to be Magnus’s chest. Feeling the coldness of the skin, she gradually opened her eyes and saw Magnus sleeping beside her. Seeing the natural sunlight falling inside through the windows, she realized it was morning.

Slowly, Alora withdrew her hand from his chest and thought to quietly get down from the bed without disturbing his sleep. However, Magnus pulled her down and snuggled to her.

“Is His Highness awake?” Alora asked.

“Hmm. You woke me up,” Magnus replied and inhaled her scent. His lips brushed her earlobe, causing her to curl her fingers.

“Forgive me,” Alora apologized.

“Will you help me wash today, especially my hair?” Magnus asked.

“Sure,” she agreed. “When did His Highness return?”

“I returned at midnight,” he answered and began caressing her hair. “I heard from Tobias, that you practiced writing last night. Do you wish to go out today?” He asked.

Alora tilted her head. “Where will you take me?” she inquired.

“You’ve not explored Velaris ever. Let’s begin our tour with the palace first. Mother wishes to see you. She asked me yesterday, but we needed to be present at your sister’s wedding,” Magnus explained to her.

“Oh, then we should get ready quickly. I don’t wish to make Queen Mother wait for long,” Alora stated and promptly sat up. “I will freshen up first and later, help His Highness in washing his hair,” she asserted.

Before Magnus could stop her, she jumped out of bed and left the chamber.

Magnus stayed in bed for a bit longer before heading to the washroom. When he reached the bathhouse, he was surprised to find Alora. She poured a few drops of the natural fragrance into the huge water tub.

“Didn’t you bathe yet?” Magnus asked and walked to her.
