“It was just some matters with the company,” said Cormac casually.
He stroked her messy bed hair, “Are you hungry?”
Loredana shook her head. Company calls were rare at this hour, it must’ve been about her, she figured.
She knew Cormac wasn’t telling the truth, what she didn’t know was that the call had nothing to do with her, it was actually something related to Maxina.
“Call Coral here for me,” spoke Loredana.
She needed to use the bathroom but felt embarrassed with Cormac in front of her.
Cormac thought she was feeling under the weather, “I’ll call the doctor.”
“No,” Loredana blurted out, “I’m fine.”
“Hmm?” Cormac scrunched his eyebrows, why did she even need Coral if everything was alright.
What was it that she couldn’t tell him?
If she wasn’t hungry, perhaps she was thirsty?
“I’ll pour you a glass of water.” Cormac assumed it was water she needed. Her desire to use the bathroom grew even stronger when she heard the word ‘water’.
“I’m not thirsty.” Loredana blushed as she held her breath in. Cormac who stood by the table side observed her manner, she seemed embarrassed to speak up again. Cormac appeared to have figured it out, he walked over and carried her, “You need the bathroom?”
Loredana pursed her lips, not saying a word.
Cormac chuckled, “That’s natural, and I wouldn’t mind if it was you. Besides, which part of your body have I not seen before?”
Whether Loredana was embarrassed or in distress, she was burning bright red, even her neck glowed a shade of pink.
“Put me down.” Loredana bit her lip.
“I’ll carry you in.” Cormac paid no attention to her rejection, and proceeded to place her on top of the lavatory, “Do you want me to take it off for you?”
Loredana reached her limit!
“You get out!”
Cormac tilted his head to look at her, “Are you angry?”
Loredana glared at him.
He smiled, “You help me to take off and I also want to use to the bathroom.”
Loredana was speechless.
How could he be so shameless?
Loredana deliberately clutched her belly, “You’re driving me crazy on purpose, right?”
Cormac immediately changed his unruly attitude and asked seriously, “Are you uncomfortable?”
Loredana dropped her voice and looked weak and uncomfortable, “Well, I’m not feeling well. It’s all your fault. If you continue to do this, I’ll be really angry.”
Knowing that she was thin-skinned, Cormac didn’t continue to flirt with her. He went out of the bathroom and closed the door. He said uneasily, “I will wait for you at the door. You can call me when you need.”
Loredana nodded.
After Cormac closed the door, the relax on his face disappeared. In front of Loredana, his mood was hidden perfectly for that he just didn’t want her to think too much.
Then he took out his mobile phone to send a message to Boyce. He asked Boyce to take Maxina to hospital. Therefore, it was convenient for him to visit and take care of Maxina. Now Loredana could not get out of bed, and also wouldn’t run into her.
He was sure that Loredana would not know.
What was more, this was the best hospital in the country. If Maxina was sent to other hospitals, he wouldn’t be at ease.
Soon the message was replied. Boyce sent the word, “OK”.
After Loredana washed her hands, she moved to the door and opened it, just to see Cormac checking his mobile phone.
“What are you looking at?” Loredana set her eyes on his phone.
Cormac put away his phone and said calmly, “Read the news.”
Loredana said suspiciously, “Really?”
Cormac handed the phone to her and smiled, “Or you check to see if there is any beauty in it?”
Loredana stared at him, “Do whatever you want.”
Knowing that she would not look, Cormac deliberately held the phone out to her, “Really? There might be some pretty girls in it. The doctor said we can’t have sex for three months. I’m afraid I can’t help it.” Loredana was speechless.
“If you get a woman, I’ll get a man…”
“How dare you!”
Before Loredana finished her words, she was cut off by Cormac’s cold voice.
Cormac picked her up and pretended to be fierce, “If you dare to find a man, I will break your leg.”
Loredana mumbled, “It is you who want to find a woman first.”
Her voice was not clear to Cormac. When he put her on the bed, he asked, “What did you say?”
Loredana immediately changed her mind, “I said that I dare not.”
Cormac smiled and kissed her cheek, “That’s a lovely girl. You are pregnant. Where can you find a man? Besides, where can you find a good man like me?”
Loredana rolled her eyes to herself. She thought that this man was so domineering and had a double standard.
Cormac glanced at the time. It was nearly six o’clock, “Are you hungry?”
Loredana lay on the bed and moved, looking for a comfortable posture, “Are you eating here?”
Cormac thought for a moment, “Hmm.”
“Yes, I am,” Loredana said. She was afraid that Cormac would leave later and that he would go out without eating. In the morning, he would either answer the phone or read messages, which showed how busy he was.
Cormac turned to open the door and was about to call Coral. When he opened the door, Coral took the lunch box and was about to knock on the door.
