She turned as I bent down and grabbed the washcloth. Tenderly, my eyes fixated on her, her cheeks flushed, I began to wipe her down, taking care of the mess I had created. I reached up and turned the water off, stepping out and wrapping a towel around me, before grabbing another one and wrapping her in it. “Thank you” she breathed, as I led her back to the bedroom.
I was in a good mood. What man wouldn’t be after making love to his wife, not once but twice? My eyes sparkled as I began to get dressed. I looked at Flair, shooting glances at her as she began to rifle for clothes. “I have to go to work,” I said reluctantly, wishing I could stay home and ravish her some more, “but I’ll try to get home a bit early so we can have dinner together” I proposed.
The thought of having dinner together perked me up. Finally, I had a reason to come home early. I cleared my throat remembering something “There’s the engagement party we need to attend as well, Charlotte and Johnathon’s. I know it will be a bit awkward for you” I said as she paused in her tracks, a stricken expression on her face “but as her brother, unfortunately, it is expected that I attend. I intend to announce our marriage and introduce you as my wife while we’re there.”
She looked uncertain and then her expression cleared. “I think that would be the perfect opportunity,” she said agreeably, looking down at her hand where the ring resided, her eyes slightly glacial “We weren’t exactly going to be keeping this marriage a secret were we?” she said inclining her head and looking directly at me.
I grinned “Certainly not. What kind of man would want to keep a gorgeous woman like you a secret?” I teased.
She laughed. I started to put my clothes on while she, blushing did the same. I tried not to stare but it was difficult. I had to redo several of the buttons on my shirt.
Eventually, I was dressed. “Do you have time to have breakfast?” Flair asked as I glanced at her appreciatively.
I shook my head reluctantly. I had dallied this morning and I was already going to be late going to the office. It was a shame, I thought with a sigh. Flair looked disappointed too, but maybe that was my imagination? “I really should get going to the office,” I said grimacing “what are your plans for the day?”
I was curious. I had no objections if she wanted to remain home, but I was certain that she wasn’t the type to just sit around. She smiled at me, her eyes twinkling. “I thought that I might go to work and then go shopping with Rachel. We could both use a new dress for the engagement party” she said pointedly “as I assume that it’s not casual dress” she added.
“Knowing Charlotte it won’t be” I acknowledged and grabbed my wallet, withdrawing my black credit card and handing it to her as she tried to protest and shake her head.
“Flair, you’ll need to get something designer and appropriate. I insist you take my card” I said insistently “you are my wife and will be expected to dress a certain way. I think you look gorgeous in whatever you wear, but I want you to get whatever catches your eye without worrying about the cost” I told her, as she reluctantly took the card “Get something for Rachel as well. She can come with us to the engagement party. I suspect she would love to attend with Timothy” I said with a pause “if she requires a date?”
Flair smirked “I’ll be happy to ask her,” she said and then glanced down at the card. “Thank you for this, I will give it back,” she said and I chuckled.
“I know you will but don’t stress about the cost. Make sure you get accessories and anything else you guys need. As for dinner, we can go out or do takeout if you prefer?”
She looked stunned “You don’t want me to cook?”
I frowned “Not unless you want to. Really I should look at getting a cook” I mused “but living on my own it didn’t occur to me to get one.”
“I think that cooking dinner is the least I can do,” Flair said hastily “providing you don’t mind eating vegan?”
“If it’s anything as good as those brownies I won’t hesitate to eat it” I winked at her, grabbing my briefcase “but don’t feel pressured to do it either.”
She smiled and then, I couldn’t help myself. I strode over to her, grabbed her by the back of her neck, and kissed her. Her lips parted and my tongue slipped inside, exploring the sweetness of her mouth, tasting the sweet nectar inside. I left her panting as I pulled back, feeling smug with myself.
“Have a good day wife” I told her, as she looked at me stunned. “I’ll see you when I get home.”
I left the room whistling to myself. The marriage had gotten off to a good start and Flair was beyond anything I had imagined. Would the marriage continue to be this good? I fervently hoped so. I was looking forward to attending the engagement party, not just because I could rub having Flair as my wife in Johnathon’s face, but because of the drama that was sure to follow our announcement. I went to work with a huge grin on my face and anticipation flooding through my veins. I could not wait to see my wife again that evening.
Flair POV
My new husband had surprised me on more levels than one. I was humming under my breath as I entered the yoga studio, and Rachel raised an eyebrow, a smug look on her face. There was no time to talk to her as there was a class immediately to conduct and we were kept busy for most of the morning, before she was able to corner me, after the last class had ended. I looked at her knowingly, while she looked as though she was fit to burst. It must have been killing her to have to wait this long before she could get any information from me.
“Tell me,” she said, as the class began to disperse, her voice dripping with eagerness “I want all the juicy details. Don’t leave anything out,” she said with glee “How was your night with Grayson? Did he call you frigid?” she scoffed, still peeved at Johnathon calling me such a thing.
I glanced around the room, grateful to find it was empty. My cheeks burned just thinking about my night and my morning with my husband and Rachel pointed at me, her lips parting into a wide grin.
“Oooh” she squealed “looks like you had more than a good night.”
I couldn’t stop the smile from spreading on my face. Rachel put her hands on her hips and I giggled. I couldn’t help it. I felt like a schoolgirl. I knew she wouldn’t give up until I gave her something. “It was,” I said, with a sigh “it was magnificent Rachel. I don’t know how to describe it. It wasn’t anything like I had with Johnathon, it was…” I trailed off, unsure how to phrase it politely, and then decided I didn’t care “so much better.”
“Did you have multiple orgasms?” she deadpanned.
I blushed even harder. She smirked “I told you he would be good in bed” she exclaimed “and Johnathon has always been selfish” she sniffed “so it doesn’t surprise me that he was selfish in bed. Fancy having the nerve to call you frigid, what a bastard,” she said scornfully.
I looked at her helplessly “I was definitely not frigid” I said in a low voice “We even did it in the shower this morning” I confessed.
Her eyes sparkled “Look at you go. You wanton little thing you” she teased “and if I had a partner that looked as handsome as Grayson I would be jumping him every chance I got.”
“But it’s a contract marriage, Rachel, you know that,” I said with a groan “I’m not supposed to get attached too much. But he’s acting like well…” I paused.
“Like you would expect a husband to act? Is that such a bad thing? Maybe your relationship will develop into a real marriage. Would you want that?” Rachel pressed.
“I don’t know,” I said slowly “I haven’t known Grayson that long, but what I do know.”
