Chapter 58 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

After they settled in the living room, Rhea asked the servant to give them water. However, Magnus refused. He, instead, helped Alora in drinking the water. Rhea was overwhelmed to see that sight.

Once Alora stopped drinking, Magnus placed the glass on the tray, which a maid was holding. He wiped her lips using his thumb. As he straightened himself and kept his clasped hands on his lap, he told Rhea the purpose of their sudden arrival.

“The blood moon is tomorrow. I want Alora to stay away from all the vampires. That’s why I have brought her here. I’ll pick up the day after tomorrow,” Magnus informed Rhea.

“Sure, Your Highness. I’m glad to see how considerate you are toward Alora,” Rhea asserted.

“Take good care of my wife, Mrs. Wilson. Make sure no one speaks disrespectfully with the Princess,” Magnus stated intentionally as he already had seen Madam Aubrey reaching the living room.

“Now, Alora is married, so no one has the audacity to speak disrespectfully to her,” said Madam Aubrey and she greeted Magnus.

“Grandma, how are you doing?” Alora asked.

“Good,” Madam Aubrey replied. “However, your sister’s absence from the house has left the atmosphere here quiet.” She took her seat next to Rhea and asked her if she sent the sweets for Venus.

“Yes, I have sent them in the morning,” Rhea told her mother-in-law.

“Why does it feel that discrimination still exists in the veins of Alora’s grandmother? Why did you not send those same sweets for Alora?” Magnus questioned her when Alora grabbed her hand.

“Alora doesn’t like sweets made of rice, Your Highness,” Madam Aubrey replied. She didn’t like the fact that Magnus loved to point his finger at her for every single thing.

“You care only for your two grandchildren. It makes me mad for some reason,” Magnus said. The tension between them rose.

“Magnus, let’s go to my room. I am tired,” Alora intervened as she didn’t wish the matter to escalate further. She pulled him up along with her. “Take me to my room,” she requested him.

Magnus hummed and walked away with her.

Once they left, Madam Aubrey asked Rhea, “Are they going to stay here?”

“Only Alora will be here till tomorrow night. It is a blood moon tomorrow, so Prince Magnus has brought her here. She shouldn’t stay around the vampires tomorrow,” Rhea explained.

“I see. Prince Magnus can read thoughts. Let’s not anger him in any way. What does Alora like to eat? I’ll cook it for her,” Madam Aubrey stated.

Rhea was surprised to hear that. But before she could speak, Madam Aubrey clarified to her, “I only want our family to be protected from the eyes of a vampire.”

Rhea nodded at her. “Mother, you should even try to converse with Alora. She will love it if you talk to her,” she suggested.

Madam Aubrey didn’t refuse to do it. “I wonder how Venus is doing? She didn’t communicate with us after her marriage. Send a message to her saying we were missing her.” She instructed Rhea and prayed everything was well with her.

Alora crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Magnus, who was reclining with his head against the headboard of the bed.

“What did I do? Your grandmother needs to be shown a mirror of her discriminating behavior toward you. Alora, you should reward me, instead of glaring at me,” Magnus stated.

“Let my grandmother do what she wants. She is old and she is my elder,” Alora explained.

“Show me your feet,” Magnus asserted.

“Why?” Alora got confused.

“I want to touch them,” he pronounced. “You are the idol of naivety!” He taunted Alora.

“I am not naive,” Alora argued with him.

“Oh, you are!” Magnus stated.

“I know many things. I just ignore them,” Alora replied.

“Then,” Magnus suddenly appeared before her and pulled her close by holding her waist, “tell me what happens between a husband and a wife when they are married?”

“What kind of question is this?” Alora murmured. She asked him to let her go, her hands moved to his arm, attempting to release her from it.

Magnus pulled her chin by holding it firmly and made her look into his eyes. “Answer me. Prove that you are not naive,” he said.

Alora pursed her lips together, stealing away her eyes from him. She met his gaze when he said, “Your silence tells me that you already know, but you want to ignore it.”

“Selvina told me. I did not know,” Alora finally replied. “A lot happens,” she murmured. A hue of red started appearing on her cheeks. By now, she had lowered her eyes shyly. However, his hold on her chin still persisted.

Magnus leaned down his head to kiss her, he released her chin and cradled her neck. She lightly pushed him away by pressing her hands on his chest. “We are at my home. What if my mother comes,” Alora said as she breathed in.

“The door is locked,” Magnus reminded her.

“I mean, she may want to talk to me and then we will get disturbed,” Alora murmured lightly. Her eyelids moved faster because of the nervousness built inside her.

“Your mother isn’t naive unlike you,” Magnus proclaimed.

“What?” Alora exclaimed as she didn’t anticipate such a response from him.

“You heard me,” Magnus answered. “Nevermind. Now, I’m not in a mood,” he said and let go of her. For some reason, he started feeling thirsty. His fingers touched his lips as his pupils changed colors. The scent of the humans around him made him want to have the blood. But more than anyone, he wanted Alora’s blood to quench his thirst.

The moment she held his arm and pecked his lips after meeting his gaze, Magnus felt the hunger for blood vanish from his mind, replaced entirely by a longing for Alora.

Quickly, he turned her around. She tilted her head, only to find his nose nuzzling her hair, while his hands worked on the hooks of her dress. Gently he moved away the hair to the front and showered kisses on her neck, and shoulder.

Suddenly a knock occurred on the door, disturbing their moment.
