Chapter 60 – The Vampire Prince’s Blindfolded Bride (Alora & Magnus) Novel Free Online

“Then, you won’t keep the blindfold on your eyes. If you agree to my condition, you are welcome to accompany me,” Magnus pronounced.

Alora contemplated for a few seconds before agreeing with him. “We shall hurry,” she said and the two stood up. They both came to the living room of the house, where Madam Aubrey was crying for Venus. Rhea had been consoling her when she spotted the prince.

“Because Alora wants me to find her sister, so we will go to Venus’ in-laws’ house,” Magnus asserted. Promptly, Madam Aubrey stopped weeping and he left her seat along with Rhea.

“I’ll always be grateful to Prince Magnus if he finds my granddaughter,” Madam Aubrey stated while joining her hands.

Magnus didn’t trust her words and told her to send someone with the coachman, who could tell us about the place, where Venus lived.

“Sure, I will send Peter with you,” Rhea said. “Alora, you should stay here,” she then suggested.

“Let Alora accompany me. I may need her eyes,” Magnus told Rhea and walked outside with her.

Rhea instructed Peter to lead the direction while Magnus and Alora were seated in the coach. She was trembling in fear, thinking where Venus could possibly disappear.

“Mother, we will find out about Venus soon,” Alora assured her while keeping her gaze low. She decided to keep a secret from her mother about Venus being married to a werewolf.

“Hmm.”

Magnus and Alora got into the coach, which the coachman closed from the outside. As he drove it ahead, Rhea went inside her house.

“I won’t kill anyone with my eyes,” Alora clarified to Magnus.

“Why do you think I’ll ask you to kill anyone?” He questioned her. “You have to control Venus if she has turned into a werewolf,” Magnus opined.

“I cannot look into anyone’s eyes, except yours. Also, we don’t know yet if she has turned or not.” She still believed that Venus would never choose to be a werewolf just because she wanted some supernatural abilities.

“A unification ritual is a must among the werewolves. I do think she is converted into a werewolf by her husband,” Magnus pronounced.

“A unification ritual?” Alora arched her brows.

“Yes. A werewolf marks his mate and claims her as his other half,” Magnus replied.

“I hope it is not true,” she mumbled.

“Alora, I won’t do anything if the werewolves ask me to step back because we have set boundaries. I cannot let chaos happen between the two species. If Venus has not turned, then it’s good. However, if I find out that she is already a werewolf, then I will do nothing to save her,” Magnus cleared to his wife.

She felt worried to hear that. “I hope Venus hasn’t chosen the life of a werewolf,” Alora said.

“The problem is that Venus is greedy. Your choices never mattered to her. You have to live for yourself, not for the others. Because of you, I’m forced to live for the others instead of us,” Magnus asserted.

As the carriage halted outside the Duke’s residence, the guard opened the door for them. Magnus was the first to step out, followed by Alora. The other guard rushed in to inform Duke Benedict about the Vampire prince’s presence while the first one led their way inside.

Benedict was quick to go out and meet with them. While Alora kept her head low, Magnus and Benedict exchanged greetings with each other.

“We are here on the report of the disappearance of Venus,” Magnus stated.

“Please come inside and then, we can talk about it,” Benedict said.

“Hmm.” They both followed the Duke inside his residence and made their way to the large living room. After they sat down, Alora asked about Eugene.

“My son has gone out to find Venus. This is such a disturbing fact for all of us. We considered Venus as our child and she ran away,” commented Lady Eloise, Venus’s mother-in-law as she entered the living room.

“I don’t think my sister has run away,” Alora said. Eloise noticed that Venus’s sister was without the blindfold and apologized to her for her harsh comment.

“We have a name not only among the humans but also the Vampires and the Werewolves,” Eloise said with a humble tone. “Our daughter-in-law ran away, so what does Princess Alora think the people think about us?” she enquired of her.

“People will think that Venus’s in-laws were not good to her,” Magnus remarked, interrupting in the conversation. He couldn’t read the minds of any of them, causing his suspicion to grow further. ‘Did they protect their minds from being read knowing the fact I’ll be here?’

“Your Highness, we consider Venus as our daughter,” Benedict stated this time.

“Shall we come direct on the point, Duke Benedict?” Magnus asked.

The Duke wondered what Magnus meant by that.

“Why did you all turn to the werewolves?” Magnus queried straightforwardly. Alora tilted her head to gaze at him. She didn’t anticipate he would ask such a question from them out of the blue.

“Wh-what is Prince Magnus saying?” Benedict pretended as he asked him not to accuse them for something they never did.

“I read your minds on Venus and Eugene’s marriage day,” stated Magnus, looking straight into Benedict’s eyes. “So, by any chance is Venus converted into a werewolf? Tomorrow is a blood moon and it is perfect for her transformation,” he pronounced.

Alora got tensed to hear that. She didn’t wish her sister to become a werewolf.

“Your Highness, no such thing has happened,” Benedict said. He didn’t know how to respond to the direct confrontation he got from Magnus.

“Benedict, I don’t believe in wasting time. Just tell me what exactly happened or I’ve other ways to bring the truth out. You won’t want a vampire to fight with you,” Magnus affirmed.

Eloise gulped thinking their truth would come out if they admitted their identity as werewolves.

“My sister didn’t deserve it. We thought you all were humans,” Alora ended up speaking. “Please tell us where Venus is.”

“Venus has run away, Your Highnesses. I admit that we are a family of werewolves. However, Venus wasn’t transformed into a werewolf. In the morning, we didn’t find her in the residence,” Benedict truthfully replied as he revealed the truth to them.

“When will Eugene return?” asked Magnus.
