“Was it always that obvious and we just didn’t see it?” She asked softly, my eyes wandering across the picture as Johnnie and her dad looked a little separated as Heather leaned towards my father.
This was even taken years before I found out about the affair.
“I think they lied for so long, that it was hard not to believe..it’s all we ever knew.”
I answered honestly, making Johnnie nod before letting out a sigh before snuggling into my chest.
“Well, there’s one positive out of this..at least we aren’t related.” She grumbled playfully, making me squeeze her sides, tickling her.
“Yeah thank god for that..I swear I almost had a damn heartache.” I confessed making her laugh as I kissed the side of her throat.
“Well, you are going to be my stepbrother technically in like one week..if they go through with it.” She informed me before turning around in my lap.
“Nope, we got married first..so they are the ones making it weird.” I said while smiling widely before bending my back and hovering above Johnnie.
“But if you want to make it even weirder..I can be your daddy too.” I teased while wriggling my eyebrows, making Johnnie gasp before hitting my chest.
“Caspian! Oh my god ewww!” She whined as I burst into laughter, feeling her hitting me playfully before I reached up and gripped her wrists.
“Eh, come on now..be a good girl for dadd..”
I couldn’t even get the word out before she elbowed me in the ribs and managed to shove me back and tried to tickle the hell out of me but I didn’t budge..even though seeing her try so hard did make me laugh.
“What are you doing?” I asked breathlessly, the cutest most determined look filling her face as her brow furrowed together.
“Trying to tickle you..what the hell is wrong with you?” She grumbled.
“I’m rock solid baby, that won’t work on..” Suddenly she reached under my arm, making my eyes widen as I jerked and tried to recover, hoping she didn’t notice..but of course she fucking did.
“No..Johnnie..I’m serious..” I tried to say as firmly as I could..but it was too late..she had that smile on her face..the one that drove me crazy.
Johnnie dove for under my arm, tickling me and making me laugh hard as I jerked beneath her and then managed to grab her wrists before flipping her over.
Then she realized the shit she just did..she was going to get it.
“B..baby..w..we were just playing..we were just having fun right?” She sputtered, and that’s when I smiled like the Cheshire cat and went to town.
I tickled her so much that when she jerked away, the most adorable toot escaped her, making her face instantly burn red as her eyes widened.
“Did you..” I began, causing her head to shake no.
Then I fell over in laughter, pulling Johnnie closer to me as she tried to wriggle out of my grasp, making me hold her even closer.
“That was the cutest thing I have ever heard.” I gasped, hearing Johnnie groan as she tried to hide herself.
“It’s your fault!!” She yelled as I kissed her, and said I was sorry.
Really though..that was fucking adorable.

I glanced over at Caspian, my stomach twisting into knots as he put his key into the door before turning.
“You ready baby?” He asked and I just nodded..I was so nervous to meet Moose officially and see where Caspian has lived for the past year.
Caspian pushed the door open, the apartment coming into view as I took a tentative step forward. Everything was decorated in brown and black and the place definitely had a bachelor pad type of feel to it..especially with the huge gaming set up beneath the TV.
I could see Caspian’s eyes darting towards me every few seconds, obviously feeling nervous as I walked over towards a bookshelf to examine the framed picture of Caspian’s hockey team a little closer..and that’s when I saw it..a freaking bowl of condoms..oh my god, seriously?! They just had them sitting out right here? I felt my stomach drop as my cheeks began to burn red.
“Th..those aren’t mine…I swear.” Caspian suddenly blurted, making me nod once before glancing over at him, his face was pale as he started pulling me to the other room where I now saw a black lace bra was lying on the damn floor.
Yeah, this definitely was a bachelor pad.
“For fucks sake…I told Moose to clean up.” Caspian grumbled before kicking the bra to the side as he seemed to stiffen awkwardly.
I didn’t know how to feel…I mean, yeah, the bra most likely wasn’t from Caspian..considering he has been gone for close to three weeks..but just seeing that stuff made me realize what type of guy Caspian used to be.
He had a lot of girlfriends before me…and I mean a lot…I guess I didn’t connect the two that he probably brought them here.
“Here is our room.” He suddenly stated before dragging me down the hall and opening the first door on the left.
I stepped inside, my eyes wandering across the well-kept room as I held my breath, wondering what the hell I would find in there.
I looked at the walls, seeing posters of different hockey players and a few trophies on shelves as I felt my feet moving on their own.
I began examining the things he kept..like a picture of his mom and Alder..then there were hockey sticks in the corner.
“Johnnie..I..I’m sorry..” Caspian suddenly apologized before coming behind me.
“I know walking in and seeing that stuff wasn’t the best first impression..” He trailed off as I turned in Caspian’s arms before placing my hands on his shoulders.
“It’s okay..I’m not an idiot..I know what things were like before.” I laughed half-heartedly, trying to lighten the situation.
“It still makes me feel shitty..I should’ve waited..I wish I would’ve.” He whispered, making me frown as I shook my head no.
“You can’t feel guilty about that Caspian..okay? Things were different..its not like you cheated on me or something.” I said before lifting my hand and cupping his face.
“Fucking felt like it to me..every damn time I did that shit I thought of you.” He confessed as sadness filled his eyes.
“Y..you did?” I was shocked to hear this.
“Of course I did..you have been all I ever wanted for years..and I was an asshole who ruined it..”
