“Enough.” He stopped her. “Don’t drink anymore. ”
Niamh smiled. “So, are you willing to talk to me now, Young Master Johnson?”
Fabian frowned. “Eveline, why are you so annoying? I’ve said that I don’t want to see you again, that I don’t want to have any trouble with you anymore. Why do you have to follow me?”
“You’re asking me why? I also want to know why. Why can’t my daughter go home with her mother?” Niamh smiled and asked in a calm tone.
Fabian was stunned, then he smiled.
He did not answer Niamh’s question, but instead, he turned his face away, picked up a wine glass, and drank again by himself.
“Fab didn’t let Lily go home for the sake of Lily’s body. It’s because there’s no better way than to have Lily stay in F Country and recuperate. And it is the only way.”

Evan shook his head. Noticing the sudden silence of the atmosphere about them, he glanced at Fabian, who had fallen asleep on the sofa because he was drunk.

Evan’s expression looked more solemn as he explained.

“You know where Lily is?”
Evan shook his head. “I don’t know where she is exactly, but I can help you get an appointment with Carter.”
“You even know Carter?” Niamh was shocked once again.
Evan lifted his eyebrows. “Not exactly. But right now, he wants to befriend me because he needs me.”
“He needs you?” Niamh felt like she was having more and more questions.
Evan did not keep her guessing and he directly told her why. “After he arrived at F Country, he kept asking someone to find me because it seems that he has a woman whom he cares about and that he needs my father’s help.”
When Niamh heard this, she could guess that this important woman was definitely Shirley and she already had an accurate guess I’m her heart.

Carter had been waiting for Evan to return his call. Presently, he received his call, so he did not hesitate to pick it up. When he heard that Evan wanted to see him tomorrow morning, he quickly accepted.
After thanking Evan, Niamh helped Evan carry the drunk Fabian into the car.
After seeing Evan driving Fabian back home, Niamh stood by the busy car-filled street for a while before heading back to the hotel.
The next day, she woke up early.
