Chapter 13 – The Heiress They Couldn’t Break

Amelia took the grass and smiled a little. “Just watch.”

She skillfully fluffed the grass, struck a match, and carefully put it into the stove. Then she added some small twigs.

The fire caught quickly. She put in some logs at just the right time, and the fire grew big and strong.

The whole process looked smooth and effortless, and everyone else just stared in shock.

The livestream chat exploded.

[That fire-starting is so professional!]

[What has Amelia done before? How is she so good at everything?]

[She’s got this mysterious vibe all of a sudden.]

Gianna stood in the corner, her nails dug into her palms.

She had hoped Amelia would mess up, but instead, Amelia was stealing the spotlight.

Soon, the table was filled with delicious food.

Everyone was amazed.

Amelia’s cooking looked delicious and filled the air with an irresistible aroma. There were sautéed kale, honey garlic pork chops, cucumber salad, and a big pot of chicken soup.

Kristina swallowed hard, clearly impressed. “Wow, this smells amazing! Amelia, I didn’t know you could cook this well.”

Patricia ran over, her eyes sparkling. “Can I try some?”

Amelia nodded calmly. “Sure.”

They both grabbed their forks and took a bite of the honey garlic pork chops. Their eyes widened in surprise.

“Oh wow! This is unbelievable!” Kristina exclaimed.

Patricia nodded eagerly. “It’s even better than the chef at my family’s five-star restaurant!”

The livestream chat went crazy again.

[Wait, didn’t Kristina and Patricia dislike Amelia? Why are they being so nice now?]

[That change happened so fast!]

[Haha, Gianna looks like she’s about to blow up!]

[See? No one can resist good food!]

Gianna stood off to the side, looking miserable.

She stared at her toast and omelet, then at Amelia’s perfect, delicious-looking dishes. Jealousy was all over her face, which nearly drove her crazy.

She forced herself to smile and said gently, “Amelia, your cooking is really good. Can you show me how to do it sometime?”

Amelia didn’t even glance up. “I don’t have time.”

Gianna’s eyes filled with tears as she looked down, acting all sad. “Are you upset with me? I don’t even know what I did wrong.”

The other guests couldn’t help but roll their eyes.

How long did Gianna plan to keep pretending like this?

After spending the whole day together, everyone could see right through her.

The livestream chat quickly split into two sides.

[Amelia is way too mean! Her sister asked so nicely, and she’s still cold!]

[Wake up, everyone! Gianna is obviously faking!]

[Seriously, how fake can she be? She’s so pretending!]

Huxley watched the chat explode and smiled widely.

This episode was definitely going to be popular!

The Nygards had been watching the show closely, too.

Marcelo had planned for Gianna to be on the show so she could outshine Amelia and make herself look like the “real heiress.”

But now, everything had changed.

Amelia was standing out, while Gianna’s fake act was being seen by everyone.

“How did it turn out like this?” Marcelo frowned and muttered.

Where did things go wrong?

Suddenly, he realized he might have underestimated Amelia.

She wasn’t the shy, helpless girl he remembered. She could handle herself in front of the camera and even turn the situation around.

How much had she been hiding?

Marcelo’s face looked puzzled.

She must have learned these skills while she was missing, right?

Otherwise, how could a spoiled girl know how to survive like this?

The next day, the challenge got harder. They had to go into the mountains to collect herbs.

Huxley warned them carefully, “There are wild herbs up there, but it could be dangerous too. Everyone, be careful.”

So, the five guests started climbing the mountain.

The path was steep and overgrown. They all struggled to make it up.

Amelia went first, steady and confident. She used a branch to clear the way, and sometimes looked back to remind the others to watch their step.

Gianna, on the other hand, lagged behind, gasping for breath. Her face was pale, and she kept complaining. “This path is way too hard. Is the crew trying to torture us?”

Honestly, she was kicking herself.

What was I thinking, joining this reality show?

It was pure torture.

The other shows she had watched were set in fancy villas by the sea, like paradise.

But this one? It was miserable.

This place was miserable enough to crush anyone’s spirit.

Kristina turned around, clearly irritated. “Can you stop whining? If you can’t keep up, just rest. Don’t slow everyone down.”

Gianna bit her lip, tears shining in her eyes. “I’m just worried about everyone’s safety … “

The livestream chat went wild again.

[Here we go again, Gianna playing the innocent card!]

[Go, Kristina! I’m tired of her too!]

[Gianna is just being real. You guys are too mean.]

[Does anyone else think Amelia is amazing? The way she leads is just awesome!]

Suddenly, Amelia stopped and crouched down, brushing some grass aside. Her eyes lit up. “Found it!”

Everyone rushed over and saw a wild morel mushroom, looking perfect.

Even the crew looked shocked. “You found one already? You’re so lucky!”

Amelia calmly picked it up and put it in her basket. “It’s not luck. It’s experience.”

Bella raised her eyebrow. “You know about herbs too?”

Amelia shrugged. “Just a little.”

The livestream chat exploded.

[What is Amelia, some kind of superhero? She can cook, start fires, and now knows herbs too?]

[She’s not a spoiled rich girl. She’s a survival pro!]

[Gianna must be so mad now. Hahaha!]

Gianna stood to the side, frowning, furious inside.

She couldn’t accept being outshone. Then her eyes brightened as she spotted a colorful mushroom. “Amelia! Look, can we take this one too?”

Amelia looked over, her face turning dark immediately. “Don’t touch that! It’s poisonous!”

But Gianna had already reached for it, acting all innocent. “But it’s so pretty … “
